ABOUT ME

Here for support and fitness primarily. As you can see from my photos my weight has changed a lot in the past two years. About 3-4 years ago I weighed almost 400 lbs. I finally decided to get serious and lose weight. I exercised and ate right (weights and cardio and ate well-balanced nutritional smaller meals 5 times per day). After about a year and a half I lost almost 140 lbs., joined a rugby team and became pretty fit. I ran a pride 5k run in just under 30 minutes at 245 lbs. I got down to about 235 lbs. (photo of me getting weighed for my final rugby season). A herniated disc ended my rugby playing and running. After injections and physical therapy off and on for over a year, not playing rugby and blowing off the gym, I gained back weight fast.

I just started eating right again and have lost about 2-3 lbs. per week the past few weeks. After a recent recurrence of the back problems I've been doing physical therapy for the past month (light cardio, ball squats, ball crunches and other core stuff). I feel great now and I'm ready to hit the gym again. I'm an expert at losing weight. I've done so significantly twice in my life. That's the easy part. But I suck at is keeping it off and being consistent past the two year mark. So I'm going to keep doing fitness for the rest of my life and use everything I can to help me do it. That's why I'm here.

The photos range through different weights over the past 3 years. I'm starting the 12 week Strong and Lean program and took a very recent pic with the shirt off. It's really embarrassing to put it up on a site of really hot jocks but I can't think of better motivation. Funny how I have far more photos of me at 235-260 lbs. then I do 280-300 lbs....weird huh?
