Hi, guysI was just wondering...i've tried several times over the years to start weight training, even hiring personal trainers (which never seemed to work), but could never get into the groove, so to speak.I see guys like those here on the site, who're where i'd LIKE to be (one day), and wonder how they got started. I don't mean the mechanics of it (the exercising and watching your diet).

I guess what i'm lookin for is what kind of motivation pushes someone tryin to get started, what helps someone endure the achiness and general gross feelings after weight training in the beginning, when results are slow to appear?

I know it's a lot, and i understand that a lot of guys on here won't even take the time to read this, but even if someone could refer me to someone/an article or something that would answer some of these questions, i'd really appreciate it.

Aside from that I'm a big nerd: love video games, reading, and traveling.

    Guys I'm Looking To Meet

Basically, i'm lookin for a knowledgable friend or possibly even a mentor to help me understand how to proceed with becoming who I want to be.
