Simply put, It has been ages since I've updated my RJ profile. The last year has been a major leap for me in the since of growing older and beginning to learn the lessons of life. I graduated UVM last spring and I was handed a gilded diploma worth years of monthly payments (lol). I learned a lot during college but most importantly, I learned how to accept love, appreciate the value of friendship and how to operate a flux capacitor. Alright, the last part might be a white lie but seriously, college was the most difficult experience I have been through-- but I wouldn't change it for the world.
The end of last summer I was going through a difficult time searching for love. My definition of love was opaque. I seemed to get caught up in a triangle of failure-- he said one thing, he did this, he did that... I always stressed my hatred for this sort of matter and I decided to drop all connections with them. This was the best thing I've ever done. During the next few months I started to work with a great guy named Brandyn. We clicked on all levels and our friendship lasts to this day... except I'd rather call him my boyfriend. In January, Brandyn and I packed our bags and drove to North Carolina. It was the most chaotic thing we've ever done but it has just escalated to new and refreshing levels. We both know what we want and we are focusing on the positives ahead. We just moved into an amazing apartment that has way too much room in it. It would look great with tons of furniture but, as of now, all we have is a mattress, flatscreen TV, ps3 and a coffee machine-- pretty much the essentials for me! I'm the stereotypical guy- lazy yet active.
Moved back to Maine last week and I'm happy I'm home. We were having a difficult time dealing with the lifestyle down in the south so we just made a huge decision. Just got a job working at a plastic sugery practice and it is great. Hoping to go back to school soon to get my masters in SOMETHING... still need some time to think about it.
It's kind of ironic that I decided to update my profile today.. since the last time I did it was exactly a year ago. I'm a slacker. Still living in Maine, saving money for the next big move. I love the small town feel but I am craving a big city escape-- not for the party/nightlife but for the possibilities. I want to get back into school in the next few years and that's the big plan when I move.
Thanks for making me the MOD. It's been a great 1/2 a year personally and fitness-wise. I hope all of you are keeping up with your goals and aspirations.
Got to my goal weight on 195, now time to lean up and get ready for a great end of the year. Any suggestions are welcome, I've been working out for years now but I always like a good tip.
Just took a new position being my Dad's full time care taker. He has been having difficulty and I'm so fortunate to help him. Not only does this give me more time to spend with my family, it also allows me to think about MY future. Looking at P.A. programs because part of me just wants to stay in healthcare. We will see. MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
