ABOUT ME
Hardly perfect by definition. For one, I am gay. hahaha
I can be a procrastinator, self-centered, narrow-minded, biased, prejudiced, unarticulate, ignorant, frustratingly stubborn, vain, and antisocial pr!ck.
But I prefer my alter ego. He loves to talk and be social; always wanting to learn and understand others. Extremely open-minded, caring, and selfless young man.
What can I say? I'm the human condition; a living paradox. Aren't we all?
Something I am reluctant to admit... I am not very good at keeping or communicating with friends. A loner by nature, I am often content with keeping my own company. That is not to say I don't like people, I just have a short social battery, if you want to picture it like that. I guess it is a manifestation of my selfishness and self-centeredness. Not something I am proud of by any means but I am at a loss as to how to desolve this bad practice.
Currently working on getting an art degree. I really must must get on with my studies cause I have been meandering around for a while now. :P
I also plan on becoming an EMT and eventually a paramedic, just as a fallback incase my art degree is not sufficent to sustain my expenses (not that I am a materialistic man, but I do have desires like everyone else). Hell, if I had my way, I would live in a tiny little cottage and grow and raise my own food. But nearly nothing in this world is free.
Capitalism bites.
Just a down to earth, simple guy just looking for nice guys to talk about all the joys (and sorrows) of life.
Just let things happen because there is no stopping it. Postitive or negative, it is the way of the universe. There is no such thing as postitive or negative. That is just our minds classifying our experiences as something desirable or undesirable.
Don't fret on the undesirable. Just take a deep breath and move on. :)
Cant say I know myself like I should. But there is always room for growth (but sadly, it seems I won't be getting any taller any time soon). Hobbits are awesome! ;)
"Evolution... doesn't always mean progress. Evolution sometimes leads to an undesired vector. It is arrogant for one to reject change because it is undesirable. Rejection of change is the rejection of possibilities. Allow diversity."
"Beware as long as you live of judging people by appearances." -Jean de la Fontaine
To those of you reading this who do judge based on appearances, you would be wise to change your thinking. To tolerate those who don't associate with people who dress or appear in ways you do not like is a reflection on the character. I have little patience for intolerance, much less snap judgements. Changing your thinking would be my goal, to perhaps make you see in a way you never thought to open your mind to understanding. Self expression and style is just a single facet of the human condition. I am disturbed at how cruel people are when they either mock something they dont understand or completely dismiss someone for who they truely are without attempt to understand them. Maybe, if you give them a chance you will be pleasantly surprised.
GUYS I'M LOOKING TO MEET
JUST TALK TO ME DAMNIT! ;)
I promise I don't bite... too hard.
If I were to give you one gift, it would be these words, which a very wonderful man wrote and perhaps one of the most beautifully written poems I have ever read:
"i wanted you to believe
beyond the empty heaven there was
something real you could've reached
something that like the sound of rain
did not merely pass but moved through you
i wanted you to believe
there were people more than willing
to find your world
hold you as you cried
make you king
and my whole life
was the passing sound of rain
on your doorstep soul
my whole life was the parallel
that i can't take back from your closed hands
because i never said farewell
to love"
the Sound of Rain
RainKing
