I grew up extremely underweight and thin. I was completely uncomfortable in my own skin until I started working out and eating better (and heavier). Over time, I gained a solid and healthy 25 pound of body mass. I seemed to have plateaued from there but don't complain. I still love to work out and keep it up. I am proud of the achievements I have made with both my body and in life.

I turned my life around after I got my HIV diagnosis. I learned how to be grateful instead of vain, how to be self sufficient instead of co-dependent, learned how to live in the present instead of that future or past, and perhaps best of all I learned empathy and grace rather than conflict and struggle.

In my spare time, I work as an HIV advocate... living life honestly and openly to show what this disease really is and what it isn't. Got questions? Ask me! Think they are dumb questions? Don't worry, I have asked dumber. [Fun Fact: If you reject or avoid guys due to their HIV status, you are actually putting yourself at a higher risk rather than keeping yourself safer]

I have an amazing partner who is HIV negative and a brilliant man. He rocks and my life wouldn't be as good as it is without him. We always encourage each other to be our best... both physically and mentally.

Bottom line, I am one lucky son of a b*tch.
