Started my student teaching for scuba diving. It's fun to share my knowledge with new people who really want to learn.
I am looking at my last 10 pounds. I don't think I have too much left to loose. I have a new tool in a mt bike a friend gave me. It turns out the the best time of year to ride a bike in LA is the winter, not too hot. I am adding the bike into my cardio mix of climbs up into the hills and stair climbers at the gym. I carry a back back with an extra 10 pounds of scuba lead weights to get more of a work out when I climb up to the observatory by stair. Also, I also joined a gym that is closer to home. I am hitting the weights there. Now that I discovered that extra weight I have lost was actually cake and not beef cake I would like to see what kind of pump I can put on in the next three months. There is no reason to put off new years resolutions for January when I can get a head start now.

My weight loss is steady at about 2 pounds a week I don't think I am going to hit my new goal weight of 199 before the end of October. Curse you mini snickers bars! I am falling out of my clothes now. I had to get new cargo shorts and tees because I was swimming in my old kit. The biggest change in my routine is the amount of food per serving. It is about half of what I was eating when I was really a big weight lifter. Also I no longer feel obligated to eat everything on my plate.
This last week I have moved ahead of the curve for my goal weight. My metabolism is really ramped up. My goal for next Month is to hit 199. I don't think I will be getting much leaner then that as I start back in on weight training.
I am a little behind on my goal weight for the month of August currently I am at 217. I wanted to be at 215 by the 15th. As long as I am making progress towards my goal I am pretty happy. I notice when I am packing the lead weights in my dive gear I am very conscious of how much a 5 pound sack of lead shot weights. Even a two pound bag is pretty significant.
I am boosting my activity level here at the end of summer and looking forward to an active fall. I have reached my August goal Weight of 219 pounds, and I am shooing for an end of the year goal for weight at 200 pounds. In July and August I relied on diet to make my progress but to Push things along I really need to bust out some extra cardio. I am taking a scuba class for more advanced skills and look forward to pursuing a rescue diver certification by Spring of 2010. http://www.barnaclebusters.org/dive/dive.html
One good thing about a down economy, it makes going on a diet easier. In the last month I have dropped close to 10 pounds. It's come off my face and my legs and my butt is all but gone. Of course I was wanting to drop the belly fat but of course that is the last place to show any results.
I am on track to hit 219 by the end of August. I have started to notice that as I eat less more often I feel full on smaller amounts, that has been a hard transition as I have farm hand eating habits.
