ABOUT ME
Mostly into functional fitness for outdoors activities, primarily mtb, surfing, kayaking, backpacking, snowboarding, snowshoeing/winter backcountry trekking.
I'm a well educated professional with a lifestyle that's mostly normal if somewhat free spirited. Divorced and single with no kids. Was a highly ranked rower in college and have coached rowing, surfing and baseball fundamentals. Love live sports events as well as live music of almost any genre.
I'm a business economist and serial entrepreneur - and I love to geek out on both, but only if you share the interest. I'm very well read in science and nature, economics, global affairs, public policy, and neuroscience and enjoy an intellectual chat almost as much as a flirty one. Like to chat about the market and economics or any of the above? Pull up a chair!

Update Feb 28, '09
Another 4.5 lbs down and now surfing over an hour without fatigue in the post-surgery shoulder. But it seems to be taking longer than usual to get over the sore glutes after rides or spins on the mtn bike. Maybe because there's so much less padding?!
Update Feb 21, '09
Down 13 lbs since Jan 5th. My attempts at getting back to surfing and mtn biking last year were shut-down by three re-injuries. This time I started with my PT workout and some specific measurable strength and stability goals, and kept stepping it up to a real "training" level of effort.
I also started tracking my exercise and eating on FitDay.com. My diet wasn't too bad before, but being more deliberate about my eating - especially planning and budgeting calories and nutrition - led to a 15% daily calorie decrease without any sense of dieting. No hunger, no cravings and no sacrifice of bourbon, gin or wine.
I'm aiming for 175, so I have 10 lbs to go. I don't think it will be too difficult since I'm back into a workout habit that I really want to do daily. And since I can wear most of my "fit clothes" again, it feels like I've got a new wardrobe.
GUYS I'M LOOKING TO MEET
Online, I'm very open to fitness advice and to commiserating with and getting input from anyone else who's dealing with injuries now or who has in the past.
