    About ten years ago I lost about 40 lbs of body fat through diet changes alone. I've been working out for about five years however the first three didn't get me very far. Considering my family's history with back problems I was very apprehensive to the idea of doing much of anything with free weights so I stuck to the machines and cardio. I did get results with that but nothing substantial, I was still a bit stick figure like and needed someone to push me.

    Two years ago I hired a trainer with the premise that I need to know how to keep proper form so I don't injure myself. I began to see results from his training and he moved on to other opportunities. I immediately hired another trainer and decided at that point I really wanted to start on the physique that I always wanted.

    This past year I've had a few setbacks around the holidays with limited time as well as some back muscles, for lack of better term, locking up to the point that two different massage therapists a week apart from one another were frustrated. Since most any movement was a chore it was a month long setback after the holidays. Despite that I've been able to go from 160 to 182 and definitely want to continue packing on quality pounds.

    Problems to overcome:
    Need to force myself to get in more often. The past few months I've not been hitting my minimum 5x/wk target.
    In the name of gaining size I've let my diet slip. I still eat better than most but I need to clean it up a bit.

    Hips - 42"
    Shoulder to Shoulder - 43"
    BF - 15%

    Protein - Depends on what's available at the time. MuscleMilk is readily available at my gym so if I'm in a hurry I'll get that. Otherwise it's Met-RX Protein Plus or BSN Syntha-6
