We met through Real Jock over a year and a half ago and made plans for meeting in person a shot time afterwords. We hit it off great and have been together ever since despite living half-way across the US from one another. We are finally living together at Robert's humble abode in LA, wish us luck!

Just deposited my master's thesis at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in Mechanical Engineering. After 6 years, I'm done with college!! My project was related with crack growth in super light weight aluminum-lithium alloys used for the external fuel tanks in the upcoming space shuttles and next generation launch vehicles (NASA's Ares I and Ares V rockets). If you ever want to be bored with the details, I could talk about it for hours...
Music is a really big part of my life. I'm a huge metal head but also enjoy most other types of music that can get you up and moving including: ska, punk, classic rock, techno, trance, and am sadly starting to go against my roots and enjoy some hip hop ... sigh .. damn clubs...
I love to tinker with my hands and have tried my skills in wood working, drawing, painting, and a tiny bit of sculpting. I'll be getting back in to 40k once I get out to LA. I've been recently trying to learn some more tricks with Photoshop for fun.

I've lived in LA for quite some time now and am a vet at the local animal hospital, which is conveniently located 5 blocks from my house. With my gym being only a few more blocks from that, I live a happy life =) Love comic books and all kinds of actiony movies. My superhero statue collection has surpassed 300 a bit ago. I've recently been indulging on the Blackest Night storyline and have followed most of the spin-offs. Been playing Warhammer Online on and off for the past few months, so let me know if you want to run around together. Mark has been boring me with his thesis for the past few months and had to stop playing.

Here are just a few that we have found online and would like to take a stab at. If you know of any good websites, books, or general references about intarsia, please let us know. We're planning on starting on small projects and eventually working our way up to making furniture.
