I am an openly gay, practicing Catholic Latino with some Yaqui Indian heritage.
After struggling with a severe illness in most of 2006 and early 2007, I've made an amazing recovery and exercising again.
I used to be in great shape, but while I was ill, I lost 35 pounds and my muscles turned soft. Now that my health has been restored, I've had a golden opportunity to rebuild my body.
I combined an elliptical trainer with strength-training to rebuild my endurance and to tighten my abdominal, butt and arm muscles again. I also workedwith a personal trainer, Geoff Wood, who is just fabulous and done wonders with my body.
I've always been playful and look younger than my age. People can't believe I'm that old!
My sex drive has returned full-strength so occasional hookups would be wonderful. I have my partner's permission.
I still have health problems but they are being overcome with the help of two excellent doctors, my partner's support, my faith community and, of course, God.
One thing I learned: Enjoy life to the fullest because you never know what tomorrow holds. So I'm living a line from a Neil Young song, "Rust Never Sleeps" It goes:
"It's better to BURN OUT than to fade away."

I'm interested in befriending people who enjoy life to the fullest and have a great sense of humor. I'd also offer support and advice to anyone who is exercising again after a long illness and sharing information rebuilding and maintaining lean, defined bodies.
As for hookups, as a person of color, I prefer men of color - Blacks, Asians and Latinos - because of our shared experiences. But I welcome all men of any age or race who are interested in friendship and possibly more. I like people who know how to have fun and who are honest and dependable.
