ABOUT ME

Hello and welcome!

For starters/appetizers, I believe my music expresses much about me and who I am so feel free to check it out. Even so, if you're interested in additional information; below you will discover a quick paragraph or two about me and if you're lucky, you might even learn something you hadn't known before:

Having finally finished grad school after what seemed like an eternity; I'm currently employed (which alone is impressive considering the current state of our economy) and working fervently in the fight against child abuse, domestic violence, drug/alcohol addiction, suicide and attending to ill individuals nearing mortality's end. It's a daily struggle and sadly some battles are lost. Still I'm determined to eventually win the war...or at least do my part to forward these valiant causes.

Please understand I was raised staunch LDS and overall my belief system today parallels what I was taught as a young person. If you don't know what that means look it up. Consequently and as you might imagine, things can get a bit complicated for me and I'd appreciate your patience in that regard.

Progressively I'm coming to terms with life both inside and outside my bubble. It definitely doesn't take a rocket scientist to recognize the two don't blend well. Nevertheless I actually appreciate my sheltered background as it has protected me from much harm/regret over the years and has taught me many great truths. Indeed I am eternally grateful for it...for all the character, wisdom, knowledge and depth it has brought into my life. Because of it, I have been able to discover within myself, as well as put into action, some humanitarian qualities I would have never realized otherwise.

No doubt my trust in others and my appreciation of their eternal value, worth and purpose is more profound. My actions are more authentic. I’m more genuine, kind and forgiving. But most importantly, I believe my experience has placed me in a position where I am able to more calmly/lovingly relate and attend to people and problems that before would have left me feeling confused, frustrated and overwhelmed.

Like it or not, life naturally supplies each of us—or heaves upon us, numerous opportunities for growth. At some juncture during this mortal existence, either by way of our own choices/actions or via mechanisms beyond our control; everyone has/will experience the scorching heat of what has been characterized as, “The Refiner's Fire”. Unfortunately for some, the heat from these flames may appear to radiate at a far more intense degree than that which is judged tolerable. Indeed for an ill-fated few—innocent or otherwise, life can at times be a living hell, no doubt a sentence served as a prisoner incarcerated beneath one's own skin.

In time—though not always, some extent of recovery is expected and scars are known to fade with the years. Even so and notwithstanding advancements in modern medicines/ technologies, for a handful there simply are no words, no medications, no therapies, of course no remedies to alter reality and make it all ok—at least not for now.

It's typically during unfortunate circumstances such as these, when the heat of the inferno, the weight of the smoke and/or their combined debilitating affects, force us to our knees and in the midst of tears, we find ourselves asking, “Why? How could this happen to us?” Still somehow, either with the passage of the seasons, or perhaps through some unseen source/power, we find faith and progressively develop the strength, courage and support to go on enduring till the end.

Come what may, if nothing else may we understand this: No matter how hot the blaze nor how devastating the burns; We Are Not Alone & We Can Make Good Things Happen! After all, we are here in this same furnace together. Can we not, in the least, attend to one anothers blisters? Certainly some of life's greatest joys are found in the loosing of oneself in the service of others. Execute random acts of kindness, volunteer, share, pray, exercise, journal, meditate, seek help, do whatever it takes, but we just cannot allow ourselves to lose hope, that at no point do we ever give up...we simply cannot do it!

Like you, I've yet to figure it all out and I certainly have many questions. But what I do understand completely is that regardless of imperfections, faults and/or failings, God loves each of His children unconditionally {for the worth of souls is great in the sight of God}! Aside from you dam narcissists, if the rest of us could only exercise this knowledge perfectly when it comes to loving oneself, we'd all be set wouldn't we?! :S

WARNING: I'm a work in progress. If you wish to proceed, please do so with great caution!!!

How Rare Is Your Personality?

Your Personality is Very Rare (INFP)

Your personality type is dreamy, romantic, elegant, and expressive.

Only about 5% of all people have your personality, including 6% of all women and 4% of all men

You are Introverted, Intuitive, Feeling, and Perceiving.

You Are Emotional

You are dependable, popular, and observant.

Deep and thoughtful, you are prone to moodiness.

In fact, your emotions tend to influence everything you do.

You are unique, creative, and expressive.

You don't mind waving your freak flag every once and a while.

And lucky for you, most people find your weird ways charming!

The World's Shortest Personality Test

You Fall for the Guy or Girl Next Door Type

You think that people make love too complicated, and what you want in a partner happens to be pretty simple.

You're content with someone who's nice, attractive, honest, and normal. So how come that's so hard to find?

You are fairly traditional, and you value security in relationships more than most people. It's important for you to find someone loyal.

When you find the right person, you don't expect much from him or her. You're just happy to be together.

What Type Do You Fall For?

You Are A Good Friend

You're always willing to listen to your friends.

And you're the first to lend a shoulder to cry on.

You're there through thick and thin. You won't stop being friends with someone when times are tough.

In fact, you're such a good friend that many people consider you their "best friend"!

What Kind of Friend Are You?

You Are a Soft Kisser

Your kissing style is understated, but effective

You give soft, sweet, and soulful kisses.

And the key is, you only give kisses to someone incredibly special;

Because you don't just go around kissing anyone.

What's Your Kissing Style?

GUYS I'M LOOKING TO MEET

I'm extremely interested in genuine individuals, you know, the kind you could bring home to Thanksgiving Dinner with mom...not that my dear mother would ever be down with that (in fact, both our lives would certainly be in jeopardy if this ever were to occur) but you get the picture. I'm sure she means well, but unlike her, I'd like to think I don't discriminate so if you want to say hello, by all means please do! Everyone has a story, some more sad than others and others more heart wrenching than mine. I simply cannot wait to hear yours!

If you want to know something don't hesitate to ask. If I want you to know and if I feel you're truly genuine and trustworthy (or as much so as your life-situation allows you to be), I typically open up. To be honest I really enjoy meeting compassionate people. Even so, if you're not interested in chatting or getting to know me, or me getting to know you, then I'd hate to bother you.

I'm definitely not interested in "slam-bam-thank-you-man". I'm actually looking for real connections and/or something long-term. Nonetheless, I do like to play around and there's a good chance you'll find me causing trouble--I do love to be a tease!--what?! Is that really so terrible? And just like all of you, I have off days too, so if you happen to catch me on one of them you'll have to forgive me. I'm honestly working on my mood swings--lol. I swear I'm not a mental case; I'm just human.

Moreover, I rarely cam but when/if I do, it's typically only on Skype and only with people I'm personally interested in (individuals who also have cams themselves--so go get one for hell's sake!...hint, hint). If you don't have a cam then pretty much the cam thing isn't gona happen. But that doesn't mean we can't be chat buddies. Oh and only users around the ages of (approx.) 25-45 please, unless of course you have a healthy 401K and you're on your last leg. In that case, we can negotiate (I become your beneficiary, you get my undivided attention)--lmfao!

In the end, and on a more personal note, you must understand I am rather shy and very discrete--I mean I can be. If that's a problem then I'm sorry, but thanks for stopping by.

For those of you who have made it this far, thanks for taking the time and please do take some time to thank "Hooked on Phonics" because apparently it worked for you too. But really, patience and long-suffering are virtues I deeply appreciate/value! For you I've included something a little extra:

[Shyguy20@hotmail.com or shytheguy on Skype.]

Please feel free to explore my music and videos. They impart emotions and passions of mine that cannot be verbalized orally alone. In my opinion, they tell the tells, describe the dreams and sing of the struggles/sorrows familiar to one and all. Music, one of the many gifts of God, has a brilliantly magical way of touching the soul that no other mechanism ever could.

And so now you know it and as GI Joe always said, "knowing is half the battle."
Thanks again for your time and please do enjoy...
