ABOUT ME
I used to work in Amsterdam and got addicted to living life on a bicycle and ever since this Calgary-born imported the Dutch lifestyle to Canada.
I am addicted to sports, sweat and fresh air. A boarder, beach / indoor vballer, mountain biker, road cyclist, dedicated urban cyclist, trekker, runner, circuit/cross fit guy at heart that also likes to chill out in front of a fire and take back the occasional book / movie.
There's probably nothing I don't like to eat as I'm a big fan of food (who's not?!). The best food however is stayin' in cookin up a storm with fresh local seasonal ingredients - which eventually leads me to study holistic nutrition. Why? cause I am damn hungry all the time. My metabolism is at it's peak and I strongly believe it's possible to supplement a highly active lifestyle solely on whole food (so no processed protein powders/supplements. I'm the healthiest, and strongest I have ever been - since moving here I have leaned out to about 8% BF I have gained about 15 llbs of muscle mass.
My ideal day in BC starts off:
First tracks on some fresh pow at 8am
Circuit/crossfit class to get the muscles warmed up
Catch a few barrels in Tofino
Lunch and a pint with the family and friends
Sprint around Stanley park or hoppin over roots in the endowment lands
Beach 2s volley in the Kits/Spanish Banks hot sand
An epic cycle from UBC to horseshoe bay to Cypress to Seymour
Bomb a few single track runs on the Northshore
Power up the Grind on Grouse
Cycle to Deep Cove for a good kayak up the Indian Arm(and some honey donuts!)
Round up the team for some indoor 6's volley
Fire up some dinner at home, BBQ some bison steaks/bugers over a hockey game
2 hours of power yoga with Meghan Currie at night to sweat and stretch it all out
Rinse and Repeat.
