I was born and raised in Northern Finland, in Rovaniemi. Moved to Helsinki to study and work at the age of 16. Started working as a model a year before, at the same year my parents divorced. My dad is finnish and my mom is greek, from Crete.
At school I was teased all the time because of my foreign looks and for my accent, that's one of the reasons I wanted to continue my studies in Helsinki. Needed a fresh start with a chance to live my life as myself, without the burden of previous experiences at school and without the small-town pressure among other traumatic events. They couldn't kill me, only made me stronger.

Yes, as to an answer to many questions....I have been a model, since I was just a kid, 15 yrs old. Stopped last spring ( 2008) , runways, shows, photoshoot sessions, being on cover of mags or catalogues...or on pages of them mostly, constant traveling...not as glorious life as most would think. Hard work. Frustration, exhaustion, losing the touch on real life....etc...13 yrs of that + studying, even I have limits. And the reason why I do not look like a stereotype of a blue eyed, blond Scandinavian is because I'm 50/50 Greek/Finnish (Oops, sorry, already mentioned that). And no, I do not shave or wax my bodyhair (only trim pubes and shave armpits) I'm naturally smooth, despite of my mediterranean genes (Greek guys are usually quite hairy...).
If you like Greek cuisine, especially Cretan, welcome to my home, I'm an expert (my mom and my grandma have taught me). I'll make you a dinner you won't forget. Dessert will be served separately in my bedroom ;-)

Thank God I studied at the same time...finished high school, continued to achieve degrees from College; RN (ER,OR,ICU) to Int'l Univ.degreee of an NP ( Nurse Practitioner) Damned proud to be one! And work now as a head nurse of a surgical clinic and the trauma unit of a exclusive private hospital in Helsinki. At my age!!!!! Over achiever, I admit. AND YES heard /read all the jokes about being a GREAT HEAD NURSE...Lol!
