    Yahoo! I finally got through the 12 Week Muscle Building program. From start to finish I have gone down 4 inches on my waist, finally after over 5 years gotten under 200 lbs and actually look ok without my shirt on. :)

    I have started the 12 Week program over at week 5, I never really started this to just finish the 12 weeks and stop. I like being able to pick back up and will continue to push for greater definition, muscle development and weight loss.

    Combined with my diet I am really happy with the results! Oh, yeah, I know I said I would post before and after pics... I still plan to just have to get around to it.

    Week 8 the second time was a lot easier, go figure...

    Started week 9 of the Muscle Building workout today. Chest, triceps and of course core/stomach. I really am liking this workout. Although not so much on the plyometric pushups primarily because I can't do them yet. May have to do week 9 again next week.

    I am encouraged however seeing what others have done especially guys that have written in the forums. However I'm a bit confused when someone complains that the workout is just too long, especially with the cardio and that they may not have the right equipment. I don't get it... I don't have all the right gym equipment either, I just make some changes to the workout.

    As for too long - all I can say is... It takes great effort to achieve great results!

    OK... I finished week 8 of the muscle building workout last week and looked ahead at week 9. Decided to do week 8 over. I also discovered after reading the workout forums I had been doing the workout a bit wrong and have corrected that. Amazingly I have also seen a noticeable difference in my body in just a week.

    I also have been not so strict on my diet and have seen the results of that too! I'm sure there is some research somewhere that can explain it but I see immediate weight gain in my face & mid section when I eat sugar. Argh! So the answer is don't eat sugar, especially until I reach my immediate goal of a 34 inch waist. Which btw I am almost at...

    This is the longest I have been able to stick to a workout plan and have committed to a better diet as well and have been very happy with what I see so far. So I'm just a week or two away from that elusive 34 inch waist. Which I have not been able to wear in almost 10 years.

    I know I said I would post pictures but have still been a bit camera shy. I do have one from my cruise back in February. I have my shirt on but it is pretty disturbing for me and is the reason I have embarked on this journey to get in better shape. Maybe I will post it with the date next to a more recent one without my shirt... maybe... :)

    OK then...

    Yeah, I've taken a long time off gained a lot, I mean a lot of weight. Was wearing a size 36 waist and went back up to a very tight 38. Not good. Sooo...

    I decided it was time to get back to work. Now in week 5 of the Muscle Building work out and 6th week of a much better diet. Dropped several inches off my waist. Actually 3 inches on my belt. Very comfortably back in a size 36 getting closer to a 35. Yeah!

    The work out is good, I try to do everyday, and if I miss I just do two in one day to get back on track. I am very please with my progress so far. Although would really like my stomach to be getting smaller faster. I guess that's what happens when I stop working out and eat everything in site for 6 months.

    Will post pictures soon, probably after my week in Palm Springs. After all that's one of the reasons to get back to work - I would really like to take my shirt of at the pool this year! :P

    Well, took a little over a week off for two mini vacations... Diet was not great but not altogether horrible either. I did find I wasn't eating enough calories per day to maintain the workout though. So I have increased my calories a bit. started at 1600 per day now up to 1800. really paying attention to eating lean protein and complex carbs.

    The workout today was week 4 day 1, surprised at how easy it was compared to when I started this whole thing a little over 6 weeks ago now. confession - I did the first week twice because it kicked my ass and I couldn't get though it the first time.

    Anyway I'm looking forward to day 2 tomorrow. And yes no pics yet... maybe in a week or two I will be brave enough to post one.

    Oh BTW -- I found this site the other day by a friend of mine. It is pretty cool... He does a documentary of how he went from being out of shape to looking like a fitness model in 6 months. I didn't get the DVD but it is a lot of what I have learned in getting into shape but taken to the extreme to compete in a body building contest.

    Week 3, day 4

    Well I kind of cheated yesterday and skipped my day 3 workout... Only kind of, because I combined day 3 & 4 today. While it took longer to do of course I got through most of it well OK 3/4 of each. Plyometric jumps are getting easier - surprise!

    I still have not weighed myself since beginning the Muscle Building program but have been counting calories and with the workout have noticed a big improvements in my over all appearance. Yeah, I know I should have done a before and after or along the way pics, but vanity is a cruel master.

    I will have to find a old pic of me that I hate as my before pic... :)

    Well I got through Day 5 of the Muscle-Buliding 12-Week Workout... It went much better than I had thought especially after the first day. That was brutal, however day 5 was much easier even though it was mostly legs I got trough it and wasn't in massive pain today. Today is the rest mild cardio day but I'm going to jump into the 2nd week tomorrow.

    I'm already seeing results and liking it! :)

    Hmmm where to begin...

    2003 - noticed I had gained a lot of weight... not good. Did Atkins & starting running, dropped 46 lbs in 9 months. Since then have gained back about 17. Just started the Muscle-Building 12-Week Workout - I'm on Day 5... all I can say is ouch - my everything hurts. However my pants fit without having to exhale completely... :)

    Also just got an iPod Touch - downloaded a very cool free app called - Lose It! It lets you set a weight loss goal and then charts your calorie intake and calories burned. the best part is it is so easy to use it has a data base to choose from - way cool.

    I'm keeping a diary of sorts to track my progress my weight goal is 190...

    Guys I'm Looking To Meet

    Would like to find a local guy to play racquetball with. My racquetball partner moved away a couple of years ago and I miss it.
