Well, in my previous life, before the on-set of Charcot-Marie-Tooth Syndrome (Type II), I was a fitness specialist and personal trainer at a large metropolitan athletic club in charge of the evening shift, in general, the cardiovascular training center, and fitness assessment and testing. Most of my degree working was in Physical Education, Athletic Training/Kinesiology, and Biological Sciences. I did both the IDEA and the NSCA certifications and still have the t-shirts to prove it :-)

Now, after my "vocational rehabilitation", I am a photographer and graphic artist. I am only a couple of courses away from another dual degree in Electronic Media and Digital Media. Although, most of my time and energy for the past couple of years has been put into taking care of my mother and oldest brother (also, has CMT). I use braces on good days and wheels on bad/long days. I used to be a top but now I a bottom but I am NOT your typical bottom - can you say, "neural damage"?

I would love to get into Murderball (wheelchair rugby) but, for now, I have to be content with weight training with machines and doing my cardio in a pool.

Outside of painting and drawing, photography, reading, etc., I have been examining my Celtic roots, participating in the National Geographic Genome Project, and exploring various Pagan belief systems (most notably the Celtic Pantheon and Mythology).

I would like to make contact with guys who can see past the hardware and the less than perfect body. I have never been "gay" in my life but have been a homosexual man for so long that I no longer have to practice to be good at it. It would be nice to be with men who actually like being men and who actually act like men (cut the PC crap - you know what I mean) but they just happen to like being with other men. Pride is like patriotism; it is best when it is deep and profound instead of shallow and loud. Please, no holly rollers, I have enoungh of them in my family as it is.

I am a widower from a relationship that lasted 13 odd years, some more odd than others. He died of the same genetic disorder(s) that killed his father. We were together longer than any of his brothers' marriages. We were accepted by his family, more or less, and we buried his father and mother while we were together, along with three of his grandparents. So, I am no stranger to a long-term relationship. I am not looking for one but I will not walk away from one either.
