I'm pretty laid back and normal. Don't really have many gay friends, but I'm okay with making some. I'm a bit of an audiophile. I love finding new bands and getting my friends into them. If you can show me some new bands I've never heard before, I'll be impressed.

I'm a professional artist, and so my time is pretty much my own. Maybe someday, I'll find a guy to paint as my muse.

I like to read quite a bit too. My favorite author changes from time to time, but recently I've been on a Chuck Palaniuk kick. I like how his sexuality subtly tints his writing. I love that a gay man can write such a masculine story like Fight Club, even with all it's homoeroticism. It's almost as if when he writes, he hides his sexuality until it's too late and the reader is already invested in the story and enjoying it too much to care. It's pretty clever.

I love to travel. The year after I graduated high school I spent 10 months driving all over the country. I love road trips with friends. especially if I get to make playlists for the journey. And I like the journey itself almost more than the destination. I guess that makes good practice for life.

I come from a highly religious family. Went to private christian school almost my whole life. For a long time I struggled with my faith and my sexuality. I knew they conflicted, but I also knew that I wasn't wrong to feel the way I did. So I did research. I watched documentaries and read books and came to the conclusion that my faith was what had to change. There are far too many holes in the philosophy of every religion. However, I do appreciate parts of most religions. i like the camaraderie within modern Christianity. I like the intellectualism of Buddhism. The mysticism of Hindu. The devotion of Islam. The passion of Atheism. There is something to appreciate in everything if you look at it with an open mindset.

I want to meet someone genuine. Someone who knows what they want and goes after it. I enjoy spending time with intelligent, cultured people. And I also love spontaneity. Some of my favorite dates were when it was off the cuff and creative.

Really, I'm just interested in meeting some friends. If something more arises from a friendship then awesome, but I'm not just out looking for someone to be with. I want to take things slow. Send a message my way if you want to get to know me.
