just finished med school ...next part of the journey: residency!

apart from my job, I'm just an honest guy hungry for life. some things that make me really appreciate living every day: acing a test, laughing with friends, honest people, feeling/witnessing selflessness, feeling/witnessing courage, a damn good movie, finishing a grueling workout, dorky sci fi stuff, good sex, wisdom, travelling, learning, martial arts, enlightenment, and amazing food, among many things.

I consider myself a good person, and my very best friends in life are all great people.

Traits I look for: honesty, intelligence, integrity, beauty (a nice face, and I'm a sucker for great pecs), masculinity, grace, ability to find joy in everyday life, protective-not-possessive, loyalty, power, a great smile, ambition, a benevolent spirit, ferocity, dedication, elemental balance, adventure, shameless sexuality, responsibility, passion.

Currently dating DRTOBE, who has all of the above traits. We have an amazing relationship and are pretty much best friends adventuring through life together who also just so happen to have sex!

A formula has developed in our modern time for "the gay male," and while it has some nobility to it...it is castrating and offensive in many ways, even on a subconscious level. This isn't a self-hating polemic against modern gay culture; you'll find me at Gay Pride happily celebrating our colorful and shameless manera de ser.

But I do think we have grown out of touch with our natural masculinity. perhaps more men should look to the ancient archetype of gay relationships rather than use modern social examples (David/Jonathan or Alexander/Hephaestion VS Will & Grace's solitary Jack) Reawaken in your heart the natural warrior, whatever that means to you. Reclaim and identify what it means to be male. Then revitalize what it means to be a gay male, to love a man as a male yourself.

I should also add that I'm flirtacious by nature. Do not mistake a flirt directed at you as dishonest/underhanded or as a reflection of insecurity in my own relationship. That's not the case. Just take it for what it is...a compliment!

Finally....smile. Help each other. "Witty" and "bitchy" are two different things! Guess which one is destructive, boring, and unbecoming in its overuse? :)
