    Hey - I just started crossfit and trying to get better at it. If anyone can tell me how to get a stupid muscle up or exercises or practice that will get me there, would be much appreciated.

    I also row occassionally, and even though the water in Denver isnt great for getting a shell out...hit me up and I'll meet you out at the resevoir.

    2012.01.09 the Paleo Zone challenge has begun. The food the last two days has been AMAZING. Note to self - holy crap loads of prep time batman. The bf and I are having loads of fun playing in the kitchen. So if you have a significant other, for the shear joy of clambering over each other for utinsels and making a mess in the kitchen, I highly recommend this. Lets just see if we are in such good spirits the further we get into this experiment. If anyone has some recipes to share - please send them. I just downloaded some website and I will try and post those shortly. I also completed Chelsea last night - thirty minutes of fun. As I am a crossfit newbie, I had to do a mod - instead of the 5-10-15 I did 3pull ups, 6 push ups 9 squats each min for 30min. I had a band on standby in case I needed at. When I started doing chest to bar at minute 5, my trainer took away my pinky. After finishing all 30 minutes, it was agreed - that was way too easy - I will be doing the full WOD when we retest in a month.

    2012.04.06 I GOT MY FIRST MUSCLE UP. Thanks to everyone that sent vids and suggestions. I tried a little bit of everything to get there. The next goal is start linking these bad boys together. Over head squats are another problem child. My trainers have said that alot of problems come from upper body flexibility. I have been focusing alot on stretching. In the last month, my over head squat has gone from just using the bar to 95lbs. Still need to keep stretching.

    2012.11.20 hmmm hit a frustrating moment. I can do strict muscle ups from the floor and chest to bar with some relative ease. Trainer took me aside and we assessed my problem isn't strength but technique. I got some great tips and ways to practice. Hopefully I will start linking these things together. On a positive note, its time for a new jump rope. After forcing myself to practice double unders with the "macaroni", I can get some pretty high numbers and Im linking hspu's - woot!!

    2013.02.10 I signed up for the 2013 Crossfit Open - anyone else out there in the Open this Spring - hit me up!!

    2013.03.03 Crossfit Open starts in 4 days - I am not anticipating AMAZING results - but this is a great time to challenge myself and see where I end up. Last year during the open I did my first fully Rx workout. This year I am hoping to compete in all 6 WODs Rx. Wish me luck - its gonna be fun!! Paleo challenge also down to its final week. I am not suffering from the cravings as bad as last year. That said, I did sit down with the hubby after dinner with friends and polished off some Ben and Jerry's - dont judge.

    2013.12.17 I now have a sub 5min Fran. She almost made me throw up. Thankfully I was so exhausted after finishing, I don't think my body was able to follow through on its threat to empty my stomach.
