It's one of those tricky back-handed compliments. He was so good at playing gay, no one can imagine him in a straight role. Of course, that's no consolation to Emmy-winning actor Eric McCormack, who played lawyer Will Truman on "Will & Grace" for nearly a decade.
"I have this big pink cross to bear," McCormack told the World Entertainment News Network. "I absolutely loved playing Will. There was nothing hard about it. It was wonderful. But the only downside is the aftermath."
McCormack wants film roles, but he's having trouble convincing execs that he's more than a hilarious homo.
"I meet all these film executives who tell me how much they loved 'Will & Grace' and say they never missed an episode," he told WENN. "Then they say, 'So what can we do for you?' What they could do for me is hire me to play someone else."
