Biographer: John Lennon had a gay affair

By RealJock Staff

The Beatles' John Lennon had a one-night stand with the band's gay manager Brian Epstein in 1963, according the band's official biographer Hunter Davies in a report on ShowBiz Spy.

In a new memoir by Davies, "The Beatles, Football and Me," he says that Lennon told him the tale of his sexual escapades with Epstein in Barcelona.

The affair occurred shortly after Lennon's son Julian with first wife Cynthia had been born.

"John wasn't a homosexual but he was daft enough to try anything once," Davies writes.

"The Beatles, Football and Me" is on sale now.
