I'm totally down for meeting new, quality guys as platonic friends if that's what some of you are on here for. Trust me: Acting upon my libido is the last thing I care to do, especially since I haven't been with anyone in "that sense" for 8 years (and counting). Plus, having a solid group of cool gay guy friends is always great, especially where a simple hanging-out or spending a lazy afternoon is concerned. :-) But if there be any interest to go beyond that friendship level, I would strongly encourage reading what I've written below ...
I wanted to update this profile since I haven't done so in sometime. And I'm gonna be very direct in my candor on here hoping to know and meet other genuine and REAL guys for once! I will be turning 40 in 2010, and I can not be bothered by adolescent-like dishonesty or immature antics most gay guys engage in and never grow out of, whether they're younger or older. I honestly am a laidback, genuine, professional kinda guy here; someone who is NOT ashamed to consider himself to be rather old-fashioned going abrasively against the grain of the commonly more lascivious gay community. I know MANY of you guys on here are looking to "find" -- especially those of you city-centric "men" in your 30s -- the "perfect" never-aging Abercrombie-type who has the biggest house, the most expensive car, and what San Francisco zip code to make your final evaluation about your "Mr. Right." Well, sorry to tell you, but I am man of modest means without the necessity for the material and for what "the gay Joneses" currently possess. I know having conservative values, morals, and standards is laughable and dismissive in the gay community today. However, I will not sacrifice my upright beliefs for someone else's loose, amoral proclivities. Do I sound angry? Well, no, I'm not -- but I certainly would like to think that weeding out nelly liars and superficial assholes in this manner is justifiably optimal.

Around my own age range and height level (no offense, but I'm not really into guys over six feet tall) who are humorous, quirky, and not dead in personality. Hitting the gym or exercising outside is certainly part of my regimen, and if I can make the time to engage in such activities in a busy schedule, so can the other person! But I also strongly appreciate and am genuinely attracted to a good soul, a firm heart, and a very perspective individual who is adept and unafraid at honest communication, laughing it up, getting away for the weekends, and growing from one another.
