After working a half-dozen jobs and wracking my brain as a clinical research manager, I've resolved to suck the marrow out Chicago before I head off to Baltimore for medical school (August 17th). So please help me take advantage of the Second City!

What I do with my time says a lot about who I am:
Right now, I consult for the Howard Brown Health Center (www.howardbrown.org), I'm working part-time at an Infectious Disease clinic and full-time at Sidetrack (www.sidetrackchicago.com).

When I'm not "on the job", I read a great deal (often multiple books at a time), I work out like mad (I have a trainer 1 day a week, and a 5-day routine with a friend from the bar), I bike most everywhere, I love to cook and bake (I am a domestic warrior), I explore Chicago (trespassing is a matter of opinion), I volunteer for a variety of organizations (Broadway Youth Center, Equality Illinois, Chicago Dept. of Public Health, Howard Brown Health Center, et cetera), and I make a point to hang out with friends and family often (I have the cutest nephew ever and another on the way!).

There's much more to be said, but why ruin the surprise?

September 14th 2008 Chicago Banco Popular Half-Marathon: 13.1 miles in 1:53:36 (official result). That's the longest I've ever run. w00t!

September 20th 2008 AIDS Foundation Chicago: 5K in approximately 00:23:06 (official result). First mile was under 6:30 (fastest mile yet). :-D

I'm quite enjoying the single life, so I'm admittedly not looking for a boyfriend at the moment. However, I'm not so stupid as to turn a good man down from the position when he comes along. ;-)

I really enjoy meeting people who love spontaneous road trips, people who believe versatility is more than a sexual position, who can sit in a cafe for hours reading and think it's time well spent, and who don't confuse acting adult with being an adult. ;-)
