standing in the courtyard at Wawel Castle in Krakow first self foto posted...i feel stupid Here I am after 5 months in the gym...about 184 pounds now.  OK here at about 184, 22.5% body fat. Not good, really,  but much better than the 242 pounds and 37%!  I am encouraged by my progress and having a good time in the gym.

ABOUT ME

I love to watch sports but never got into participating in team sports...was very introverted...still am a bit. I love my solitude, but nowadays am choosing to get out into the world more. Tennis is also lots of fun, although my partner always kicks my ass!

I don't really participate in sports and have little desire to change. I love to watch sports but was so very uncoordinated that every attempt was briefly fun, but was n3ever good enough to make any teams...oh well, being the band nerd and "brain" was fun too. My chosen career path made for a very sedentary work week, and over the years, I went from 160 lbs or so to 242 lbs with a 34% body fat index. After finally realizing exercise was the only way to reverse this, I got active, then joined a gym. I've just passed 190 lbs and 21% body fat, so I'm getting close to my goals, 175 lbs and about 15%.

The forums and members here have been informative and encouraging, and I use exercises from the workouts here daily! And as a bonus, getting fit and working out is really enjoyable. A workout partner would be great, though.

In the long run, my fitness goals are improving my own health, chance at longevity (so I can drive my jeep longer!) and quality of life. Outdoor activities like hiking, cycling, tennis plus the occasional volleyball game are the norm for me. That may change of course, and I should be physically ready for any enjoyable activity.

My partner and I have been together for 8 years and just bought our first home. We just helped to raise a son (from my previous marriage) who is now away at college, spreading his wings. It is time for me and my partner to do the same.
