Hawaii Governor to Possibly Veto Civil Unions Bill

    Equality Hawaii, the state’s largest lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) civil rights organization, and the Human Rights Campaign, the nation’s largest LGBT civil rights organization, today announced disappointment in Governor Linda Lingle’s decision to place HB 444, Hawaii’s Civil Unions legislation, on the list of potential vetoes.

    But I thought all was well as long as the word "marriage" wasn't used for same-sex couples. What say all of you gay Republicans out there hanging your hat on that positioning? So much for this being a simple case of semantics, huh?

    Nothing surprises me, anymore.
