but you see... Obama... and Clinton... you gotta look where we are now. They're way worse now so anything that happened before a democrat president doesn't count...

did i do a good enough impression?

Well considering that a growing amount of the debt is coming from welfare spending, and welfare state comes from progressivism...exactly how is it all the the fault of Reagan?

And the chart doesn't show the surge of GDP growth that followed in the 80's after Carter, but Reagan gets no credit for that either?

Clinton was president at some point in there right? I'm confused as most people considered the 90's to be a period of growth and prosperity.

Both parties have pushed off the long term problems of spending and borrowing, arguably Clinton and the Republican congress in the 90s did the best job in trying to handle the problem.

Its kinda stupid to blame one party when this isn't Japan, we haven't been ruled by one party for 50 years. Its going to take a combination of tax raises and spending cuts to get things under control now. You lack any leaders now that could rally enough support to do that kind of compromise move.

I didn't watch it, but I didn't have to. Your country is a joke in the world, even though you're the largest economy. Religion is as much of problem in your country as it is in the radically muslim countries.

Sorry, got distracted by the tornadoes on the news and didn't finish the thought. The Republican are the religious Right Wing in America.

wow thats a lotta graph action -- i get very suspicious when i see flow charts and diagrams that try to make broad points about general political topics. statistics are helpful when they're narrowly focused.

here we have a chart titled: "non-farm business: labor share" ...huh? i don't know or care what's written beneath that nonsense, but i hardly think it proves anything about anything.

    stupid BS...icon_rolleyes.gif

    stupid BS..

Open your ears and learn something then
If the "Graph Action" is too much for you Try finding out what the graphs mean and what they represent

The piece comes with explainer links that show you what the graphs represent
so dig a little and stop doing the same Bull Sh*t the republicans taught you
in that .... if it makes you need to learn something it's Bad for you

So have I. To anyone who thinks Bush was the worst president ever, he pales in terribleness next to Reagan, who led a great productive country down the path to practically being a banana republic today.

And yet the blind still adore him.

But Reagan seemed like a genius after Carter.

I've come to terms with accepting conservative politics is pretty much a dead end.

But I'm doubtful this collection of charts represents any factional proof that conservatives are to blame for everything.

Savings decreases, especially as 1990 comes and passes....

... Something else happened starting in the late 80's and booming in the 90's. Americans came to love buying stuff, big new cars, luxury cars, big houses, spend spend spend..... and people took note and helped found an easy credit market where you could buy beyond your means and then slowly end up feeding these founders with interest payments. I don't think Reagan or Bush had anything to do with this.

Yes siree, he was a genius all right. Like a person who had endured stress and hard times.. Reagan gave the country what we needed. He created an illusion, put us into debt and made us think we were taking positive steps.

Like a person guzzling down on alcohol ... you think and believe something like voodoo economics.

    And "just say no"!!!

    What's wrong with Canada:

    1. Canada is cold.

Real cold. Too cold for anyone sensible.

But Canadians should prepare for warmer temperatures, since those Godless socialist pinko cowards will suffer an eternity in Hell.
    2. The metric system.

Those Canadians practically invented this "metric" system bullshit. Somehow it's like inches and feet, only it doesn't make any damn sense. And kilometers? Don't even get me started on those.

Next thing you know they'll have metric months, metric dollar bills, and women will have metric breasts. Where will the madness end?
    3. Canada gained independence from England in 1982.

1982! Can you believe that? Practically yesterday. We told those British popinjays to take a hike over 200 years before those lazy Canucks got around to it.

And guess who still has the queen on their currency? I'll give you a hint: Canada.
    4. Rich people must pay for health care for lazy bums.

Imagine being coerced into paying for health care for undserving lazy scaramouches who sit on the street corner day after day, chugging down a 40oz Mickeys before noon.

Those cretins don't deserve a nickel, let alone expensive medical treatment paid for by wealthy, upstanding members of society.

Fact: If you're poor, it's entirely your damn fault -- and you deserve a short miserable life of pain and suffering.
    5. They have oil.

Come on, Canada. Give us your damn oil. Who do you think makes your cars, anyway? Manitoba isn't exactly Detroit, if you know what I mean.

Don't make us go Iraq on your ass. We'll do it.

    I'm serious.
    6. They speak French.

Okay, I know what you're going to say. "But O Wrinkly, only Canadians in Quebec speak French!"

Well be that as it may, Canadians still write in French all over the damn place. Street signs, documents, businesses...

If I ever saw a coffee shop with a sign that said "ferme" in the window instead of "closed," I'd blow that place up before those Satan-worshiping French terrorists spread their hate any further.
    7. Draft dodgers.

And this is the big one. Where do you think those America-hating draft dodgers run off to when the going gets tough?

You're damn right they go to that God-forsaken hellhole known as Canada. Look, we're making the world safe for you hippie clinchpoops, so show some damn respect.

There you have it folks -- seven indesputible reasons Canada sucks. Of course, everyone is entitled to his or her own opinion. But if it's different than mine, it's wrong.

    Because I said so.

I have nothing against conservatism.... I have MAJOR issues, however, with conservatism when meshed with ignorance, bigotry, and the simple desire to be loud as possible.
