Closing at 8pm on weekdays and 5pm on weekends if absolutely fucking stupid!
I miss my home gym. I never wanna work out of state again. icon_sad.gif

Edit: To be more specific, I have decided to hate the YMCA in the small town of Hinesville, Georgia. Apparently they all have different closing times.

Not all Ys are like that. The one in Downtown Toronto closes at 11 pm on weekdays and 8 pm on weekends.

I wondered if it was just this one or if they were all like that. This is a small town that rolls up the streets BEFORE sunset.

I love my YMCA since it's only two blocks away, has great facilities and staff, is never crowded when I go there, is only one year old, and is open to 10pm. I'm even thinking of getting a weekend job there as a lifeguard, swim teacher or coach in order to get my membership for free.

i guess it being a small town there is no 24 hour fitness? granted..not all 24 hours are actually open 24 hours (i know..i was shocked to learn that).

In Wichita, the YMCA is normally open 5:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m... except Fridays when it closes as 9:30 p.m.

    Weekends are a bit of a pain. Saturdays... 5:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
    Sundays 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

I'm usually there at closing time on one of the weekend days. I see they have special hours on the 4th of July. Will be closing at 5:00 p.m. (but it was 3:00 last year)

I'm kinda wondering now if they'll refund my money. I paid for three months, and have only used it 5 times during the first month (still in the first month).

I can already see that I'm not going to be using it regularly because their hours suck ass. It would be MUCH less expensive to pay by the day.

i went once and fled , horrified ... so , their schedule is.. whatever.

Monster a few blocks away is open 24/7 , no exceptions , with a 2% female and a 95% hunky male membership (well, with some exceptions icon_rolleyes.gif )

I just find them terrible at regulating the lap lanes. Other than that, no problem.

So far I've only used the free weight room...haven't even taken a tour to see if this one has a lap lane or not. I did notice a swimming pool, though, when someone opened the door and I glanced in at it.

It's actually a fun gym...lots of stuff to do other than "just" working out. But I "just" want to workout, and the hours at this one suck.
