Tired of FAKES? I am. Get Verified!

This truly is a great idea. I wish other sites would do this whole "get verified thing". Anyway, on to my story...

Ok, so at work today i was scrolling through some guys for no more than 5 minutes. I could count well over 10 guys that are total fakes as I either a)know the REAL guy, b)have seen their pics somewhere else or c) can clearly tell it's from a porn site. My question is why?

I think everyone should get verified just so that you don't have frauds on your buddy and/or hotlist in vain. I'm not sure what this does for some of you, but it's just plain pathetic.

I see this sh*t on so many sites it's annoying and gets old really fast.

In light of this, I'm going to get verified when I get back home (snapshot on cam). I don't like people thinking I'm fake and neither should you, as I've gotten those messages on here already because I'm on other sites. All my images are real. I'll even get on my cam to prove that point.

So I ask, if you're not verified, then why? It's such a good thing, and people aren't taking advantage of it. Saves you time talking to fakes, and allowing you to speak to REAL individuals.

Damn, tengo una jaqueca (I have a headache).

dude i know what you're saying but that's why i make an effort only to talk to verified people. i've only come across ONE fake in months, and i was able to get him booted from the site (for soliciting money... long story.) these guys are great about removing fakes... another feature i love... so report them! :)

Anyone with moderate graphic skills can gimp up a photo (or use photoshop on windows) with "realjock" on a "piece of paper" in a photo.

I'm not verified, I'm not jumping up right this moment to go get verified. I'm not fake and I got over the "omg he's fake!" stage years ago.

A lot of guys, here and everywhere, have fake profiles. Oh well. It's not like someone isn't going to figure it out the instant they meet in person.

Fakes are assholes and quite discourteous. But it doesn't really bother me any more. If my bf and I go out to meet a guy and he is misrepresenting himself then I'll bluntly tell him he's a loser with fake pics and leave. Rejection sucks sure, but getting rejected and humiliated is even better. Maybe next time he'll put real pictures up.

If you meet such a fake schmuck from RJ, by all means feel free to lambaste him. Especially if you're doing it for a hookup. It's like going to the store to buy a $300 vacuum, getting home and unpacking it and finding a Roomba. (and if you don't know it, the roomba is a glorified battery, motor, sensor, and gear pack - total cost of all parts including batteries is probably about $5 bucks. don't be a schmuck and buy one.)

Regardless, it's no skin off my back if someone has fake pics here. The pics are for eye candy, the conversation is a picture of different colors. Honesty is of far more value to me in a friend than his appearance.

It's the honesty thing that gets to me.

I have met a few RJ guys in the local area, they have all been real and IMO, pretty hot. They're also good to have around as friends.

    cheers :)

    but...but it's just such a cool name

    Roomba

    hahahahaha

is it ACTUALLY that bad? I almost bought one a year ago, what with my intense dislike of cleaning up after myself.

yeah, it's that bad. just google for info on it :) much like the highly overpriced gadgets sold at sharper image and the discovery store in the mall -- the markup on such things is extreme.

but that's how to do business these days. be greedy, state the price of something as incredibly high, and people will buy it -because- it is expensive.

the newer roombas have a microcontroller in them and more gadgetry but the added parts still don't add up to much more.

    :)

I wonder if that's the case with that almost $15,000 exercise machine that claims to give you a complete workout in only four minutes a day.

I did graphics for years. That's why I do cam2cam. Kills off the fakes completely.

I found a fake on here and got him booted. He wrote me back and was very angry with me, insisting it realy was him.

Too bad I KNEW the real guy. LMFAO.

Cam2Cam is the way to go. Get a cam. They are cheaper than a Roomba (damn! how did we get back on that again?), and the only sure way to make sure the other guy is real.

'Cause let me tell you something: Even with a "real" pic from a "real" person, the angle, color correction and retouching that can be done will make a "real" pic into something close enough to fake.

    Cam eliminates that.

    Go Cam.

    It works.

However, I admire the attempt here to at least filter out as much of the garbage as possible.

I've asked several fakes in the past what made them do it, but they were too angry at being busted to respond coherently. Now THAT is a fascinating topic of discussion.

    HI...

I know what you mean but, i have a diff prospective...

I've tried to attach my picture to my profile and for some reason, I can't.
I'm operating an Apple, which shouldn't make any diff at all but, for some reason...I'm doing something wrong. So, your saying that some people are not being "real", I do have to take some defense to that.

Can any one help me with putting my pict online...or tell me what I'm doing wrong?...

Well, I don't have an Apple so I don't know what the problem is exactly.

I'm not saying that "pictureless" people are fakes. What I'm saying is guys on here put up pictures knowing damn well that's not them.

I am verified and have a Macintosh. I found the photo upload took _ages_ but worked in the end, although I remember having to try several times. Which version of Mac OS are you using? Are you using Safari? Try downloading Firefox....

i'm not verified because i don't feel the need to prove to people i'll most likely never meet that i'm who i say i am though i definitely agree that some pictures i've seen, more so other sites than here, are doctored which doesn't concern me unless i want to meet them in person. i guess it saves the guess work of identifying yourself for things like that.

i know my pics are real and i change my pics occasionally even though taking one more wouldn't hurt, i can't be buggered doing it. just slack lol

i guess a lot of people want that anonymity and also want to show something to who they talk to for some reason....insecurity issues, bait n switch....?

This website doesn't occupy enough space in my universe wherein this becomes an issue. I enjoy chatting, and messageboards. If someone is 100% honest with me so much the better, but it isn't going to matter to me. I know I'm authentic no matter what, and that's the only thing I can control.

    Alright, here's one..

Ok, so on here there's this guy with the name of MN_Muscl_Boi, that I've seen on a few guys' hot list on here. I immediately laughed when I saw the photo because I was chatting with a guy on ANOTHER website with the SAME photos (actually had more than the guy on here) who lives in ITALY lol.

I sent the MN guy a msg and asked him about it. He says he's the real guy and wanted to know where I saw pics of him. He never got back to me on that.

So um, until he gets verified, he's a fraud. I've seen those pics posted by someone else on another site too but I forget which one. To see for yourself, you can go to www.blkgaychat.com and look up the name "Chryler" and you will see the same photos.

I guess I don't think it's wrong to really call someone on being fake because they're the fake one.
