xrichx saidIt was dead before it even launched. They were marketing it towards tweens. And it was only available on Verizon. They should have saved the time/effort for Windows Phone 7. That is gonna be a pretty cool platform. But at this point, I'm not sure how they can compete with the iphone and Android. These past couple of years, Android has picked up a lot of momentum.
The KIN was perfect for the tween set because there is nothing tweens love more than talking like a hillbilly.
How exactly did anyone think that was a good name for a product? Between it and Zune Microsoft is on a roll with horrible naming.
Don't forget Bing.
Ya know, the words "Bing... Zune... " remind me of something...

Note: this post is for the the old creepers on RJ, like myself.
HEY! I love my Zune! I am one of like, 6 people, who doesn't like "iANYTHING"
Love it all you want and the Zune HD looks like a good product. The name is still terrible. Much like iPad. Terrible name doesn't mean terrible product.
And, yes, I forgot Bing. Microsoft really needs to start over on with its marketing.
