Does it have a website? Maybe it's something to look into for next year.

It's a leadership conference. I have about 10 friends from Penn State (grads and undergrads) that are going. Along with most of the staff of the LGBT resource center. It seems like an interesting experience as well as an educational one.

I'll probably try to attend next year.

The only time in my life I was ever seriously confronted by a gang of armed gaybashers was in Detroit outside a bar. The police never came and I called them twice.
This time a year ago a gay man was beaten to death in Detroit and the coroner decided his death was from a heart attack.
There must be a better city to hold a Gay Conference than Detroit.

Detroit despite its problems is a great American gay city. The city has fists full of organizations such as Triangle Foundation, a huge LGBT community center Affirmations, one of a very few homes for homeless gay youth in the country the Ruth Ellis Center. Now yes our gay bars tend to be subpar and there is no true gayborhood but its a great place to be gay, come and stop by sometime my and the bf will show you around. P.S. Creating Change was wonderful conference, full of great guests, great discussions, and huge guest speakers. Next year it will be in Denver, sadly I won't make it, but if you have the chance to go I say do it. The National Gay and Lesbian Task Force throws one hell of a convention.
