Hey guys. I am thinking of getting circumcised and wanted to know if anybody could briefly share their experience if you were cut as an adult.

I know there are dozens of sites for and against it but has it made a difference sexually and just the way you live every day and maybe why you chose to do it? Also, was recovery painful, quick? The thought of the first night with stitches and getting a nocturnal erection turns my blood cold!

Any advice would be appreciated, thanks!icon_biggrin.gif

You might want to google search some stories or go on YouTube. I did some research on it and most men said it was kinda painful,They lost sensitivity and their penis got dry a lot.

Thats why I kinda want to hear from people becasue on the net there are various people who claimed the worse and then there are those who were very happy. And if you surf any porn these days, take e.g. nakedfuel.com, most of the guys there are cut, so I assume it can't be that bad.

But yes some cases have taken a turn for the worst...

    First,
Why do you want to get circumcised? What do you expect to gain?

I've thought about about getting circumcised (so I guess I just gave away a little more info than I wanted to give out) but it does sound uncomfortable. Besides, I think most guy like uncuts (I hope). I prefer cut ones, but that might be because people are attracted to the opposite of what they have.

Dude, you'll end up w/stitches in your dinker. Slice away the skin and get the wound sewn up for what??? To look like everyone else. You'll end up w/a desensitized dick and the surgery could go badly or more likely get an infection. Leave good enough alone and let the rest of the guys enjoy your uc cock. It's mainly in the USA that most fellas are cut. Stupid, misinformed, unnecessary medical procedure. Your insurance won't cover it either. Elective surgery.

    Oh.
Recovery will vary... although I did the (solo) nasty weeks before it was recommended. It also wasn't painful for me, but I have a higher threshold for pain- I never took ANY pain killers during recovery- and the sutures now dissolve with time. I remember having nocturnal erections that were not painful but uncomfortable. If it will make you feel better than go a head and do it.... I did it for various (personal) reasons.... I prefer a natural (uncut) looking penis.

EDIT: Kev is right... it's considered elective in most cases... mine wasn't. So I only payed $0.00 instead of $12k

I'm uncut too and wish I was cut
I think cut just looks so much better
In Australia most guys over about 30 are cut and most under 30 are uncut

My circumcision when I was a baby was kinda botched so I had to get some cutting "down there" in my twenties. It was covered under medical insurance because I could claim that it was uncomfortable for copulation.

It was just cutting and stitching. For the procedure they did not have to put me under anesthesia. The procedure wasn't painful but there was a lot of blood and afterwards I had to use the bathroom while I was still in the hospital. When I looked "down there" there was so much blood all over I nearly passed out. They had to keep me for a few hours before I could leave the hospital.

The next few weeks it went from painful, to itchy, to uncomfortable. It healed completely within three weeks.

I got circumcised when I was 23 because I had a too small forskin opening and it kept getting infected.

There was no difference in sensitivity (that's a complete myth), but it painful (like your glans having hundreds of pins stuck in it) for about 3 months afterwards, and wasn't entirely pain free for about a year.
Also, the stitching still hasn't all come out.

I wouldn't do it for such a trivial reason.

Are you aware that the forekin should retract completely when you have an erection ? So there isn't much difference anywy in how it looks when erect.
A lot of young men aren't aware of this.

Doctors tell you that the retarction should occur from the first several erections when you are an adolescent.
Of course this is nonsense, cos you have heaps of erections before you're 12.
It requires a more active approach to make the foreskin retract.

okay, i was cut in my teens because i was born as a premature baby. I spent most of my life in and out of hospitals from the time i was born till about 11. Anyway, being that I was raised Jewish, it was very very very important for my entire family to get me cut! Every time something wrong happened, i swear my mother would say it was because we were disobeying a direct order from G-d (lol) silly i know! Anyway, we got it done and people told me it would hurt and well, it didnt. I would get hard but i was under pain medication so it didnt bother me. The stitching went away and I remember being worried because it was so swollen but after a year it was nice and smooth (: oh! i hear glue is better and no doctor in California will do the surgery using local anesthetics anymore. Apparently it use to be done in lsmall clinics but now they need an actual operating room. Ha, mine was an event for everyone, a Rabbi, the family! its as if someone was having a baby! lolNow im just another good Jewish boy in the world (:

Not even that. As another boerseun (Afrikaner), I can tell you that very few of us South Africans are circumcised.

I agree with the rest of what you say. There are hundreds of arguments against circumcision, especially adult circumcision, but unfortunately there is no cure for stupidity.

I would suggest to go for it - minor procedure with a bit of discomfort and you will be glad u got it done in the end... not only does it look a lot nicer.. but feels much much more cleaner. I dont know why anyone wants to have foreskin... also circumcision greatly reduces your chances to catch HIV.

I was circumcised when I was 15. It was painful but not for long. I did pop a stick due to getting an erection. That was very painful. Went to the doc, was numbed and re-stitched. It didn't happen again. I decided to do it because I was the only guy in my gym class the wasn't circumcised and I thought I was deformed. We were not permitted to talk about sex or to see each other naked, or in our underwear. The only guys I saw were in my Gym class. I always felt really insecure about it. I didn't have a lot of sex at 15. I wasn't permitted out of my house is I wasn't at work or at school. I have no regrets. At the time it was the best thing I could have done as far as making me feel better about myself. I talked the doctor into lying to my dad and telling him I had to do it for medical reasons. I think my cock is more sensitive than other guys but I am not sure. What I mean is I get aroused very easily. So it is more sensitive o I am a Horney toad. LOL It was about a week of discomfort. A lot of soaking in cold water. I hope this helps. Any other questions feel free to ask.

There have been several studies that support that... but it only applies to heterosexual and homosexual that are "100% (exclusive) tops."

Just read your post. ( sensitivity increases 10 times + reduces your chances to catch HIV)
I have to agree with the sensitivty statement 100%
I do not believe that it reduces your chances to catch HIV. I wish that were true.

That was not the only bullshit. It was all bullshit.

But as for HIV, only condom use stops HIV. If you want to trust your luck to your circumcision, by all means, be my guest. icon_rolleyes.gif

Furthermore, there have been competing studies that contradict your position. In certain studies and among certain populations, circumcision could in fact make you more likely to catch HIV. Uncircumcised Europe has a much lower rate of HIV than the mostly circumcised U.S.

    No. Circumcision definitely reduces sensitivity.

If I retract my foreskin, it is painful to walk with the edge of the glans rubbing against my underwear. Stimulating this part of the penis during sex is very pleasurable. Circumcision very rapidly kills sensation there (if not, you would not be able to walk around for long).

In the long run, the skin of the glans changes and hardens. This further reduces overall sensitivity.

Seems like circumcision is dying out in the U.S. too. Just from my own research icon_razz.gif, increasing numbers of 20-somethings in the U.S. are uncircumcised. Lately to me they almost seem like a majority already. Halleluyah! icon_lol.gif

Which together shows that circumcision has nothing to do with HIV.
