I was just wondering... when your birthday comes along are you the type of person that dreads (lol) your birthday or do you welcome it happily?

Best wishes for a great birthday tomorrow, the 5th!

I don't dread mine, nor really look forward to it... I just enjoy it when it comes.

    Enjoy yours!

Happy birthday!!! There are years I dread it, and the years I'm okay with it. I guess it's more the significant birthdays that are my least favorite. I sort of dreaded turning 30, but had a big party where friends came from all over, and it was great. I wasn't a big fan of turning 40, but it wasn't as big a stressor as 30, so I've been okay with it. I just can't believe time goes so quickly.

I'm of the belief that birthdays are to be celebrated.

    Ha.
    It's my birthday tomorrow, too.

I don't dread my birthday, but I would be perfectly happy to not celebrate it, and treat it like just another day. So far, my friends won't let me.

I got sung to at our 4th of July get together, today.

Tomorrow, 3 of us are going out to dinner.

Then, in a couple weeks, a bunch of us (including a couple who couldn't be with us this week) will be celebrating yet again.

    That's too much...

Happy Birthday! Personally, I don't like to make a big deal out of my birthdays. I don't mind people knowing I've gotten another year older but I prefer to keep it pretty low key.

i welcome it, it's not something to dread, imho. it's a bit of a retrospective for me too, sometimes. i'll think, "well, finished another year, how did i do?"

Happy Birthday. At your age I always really enjoyed it, as it was another reason to go out and celebrate. Of course, when I was your age Flag Day, Administrative Assistants Day, Arbor Day, First Day or Summer, Autumn, Winter, or Spring, Grandparents Day, Groundhogs Day, Bonza Bottler's Day, and about any other observance was a day to party and celebrate. Now my birthday is just another day. Don't look forward to it, but I do not dread it.
