If a guy uses his hookup partner's semen as lube on his own cock, is this considered as unsafe sex?

Yes, it is considered unsafe. It would be a similar exposure to topping someone bareback, I would think.

OFMG. What will some queers think of next?

What happened to just plain old common sense?

It's semen. It's a carrier. Of course it's dangerous, and, as well, not very effective.

Sounds like some idiot bare backing.

Where do these questions come from? The folks in The Short Bus?

I really hope it's a joke, otherwise it is just really sad. I was going to write it off as the OP must be very young, but it turns out he is 40.

I used to believe that saying that there's no such thing as a stupid question.

    Has to be a joke.

No, it's fine. Blood and semen both make awesome lube.

Maybe I'm reading this differently than others, but I think the poster means: as lube to jerk himself off.

My answer is that I don't know, but it certainly would be dangerous if there were any breaks on the skin. It also wouldn't be such a good idea to get it in one's penis hole (what is that called?).

But if the skin of the shaft is healthy and unbroken, it's possible that it might not be especially dangerous. After all, we know that HIV can't survive long outside the body, and we know that HIV cannot permeate unbroken skin.

Best thing to do: go down to a clinic or your doctor, and ask a professional.

    .

Nothign special really, its just called the "urethral orifice" or "urethral opening"

(the urethra is the hollow tube that carries urine, and in the male, semen in the penis too)

would'nt do it with a hook-up. Its is hot though!(using your buds nut t jerk) If your gonna do that I would say he better be a monogamous buddy or your lover, in which case you might aswell bareback anyways. I'd go get tested just in case.
There are actually people out there that WANT t infect people. Be careful, safe sex isnt just about using a condom. Dude, I think you should find a regular buddy to do these things with, not a one time thing. You dont have t be together permenatly as lovers t be monogamous, there are monogamous suck buddies out there. Th thing is that if you find somebody else, tell your buddy cause you'd want th same from him. This kind of stuff helps keep things from being passed around. So get tested and find a regular suck bud bro... it might save your life.

I've never understood the reasoning behind the we're-monogamous-fuck-buddies notion. what's going to keep 2 people--who aren't even emotionally committed to one another--from having sex with others whenever they feel like it? how much would each fuck buddy really lose by adding other names to his notch board?

I think the OP means to jerk himself, in which case its' probably fine because most diseases can't live outside the body. It's probably not the best idea in the world but I doubt you'd get HIV.

HIV is deactivated readily when exposed to air. Although it comes with mild risk, no reported HIV infections have occured due to exposure to spilled bodily fluids.

    see http://www.avert.org/hiv-aids-transmission.htm
and look under the "Can HIV be transmitted outside of the body" tab.

What about the people with HIV who have NO IDEA who they contracted it? There are lots of those around.

Their HIV will still die outside of their body when their semen hits the air. It's funny how oxygen, the very thing that gives us life kills diseases so easily.
