Have you found that there are certain places you can go that are not specifically made for the GLBT community where you find a lot of GLBT going to?

One of my straight friends recently joined a local CSA (Community Supported Agriculture, http://www.localharvest.org/csa/, http://find.mapmuse.com/interest/csa ) and she told me that there were a lot of gay couples going to the one she goes to, which turns out is at a church in a very conservative city (next to the city I live in). I was a little surprised but happily so. icon_smile.gif

I think this is almost a futile discussion to have. LGBT people are *everywhere* and do just about *everything* possible.

I find it highly problematic to label places as "typical" or "atypical"---it borders on the homophobic.

There was a Will & Grace episode in which Rosie O'Donnell guest starred. (I'll confide I'm not a big fan of hers)

But anyway, the story line has Jack doubting Rosie's character is a Lesbian. So he challenges her: "Say something lesbionic!" Jack demands.

"Home Depot" is all Rosie replies, causing Jack to exclaim:

"Oh my God, you ARE a Lesbian!"

i have literally walked into end counter displays staring at the cute, hairy, in shape guys at the local homo dopo.

lowe's is just as bad(good)! the bathroom at a lowe's lends new meaning to the phrase "lowe's blows". icon_lol.gificon_twisted.gif

i've started making a list of what to buy at these stores as i tend to get sidetracked there and forget what the hale i went there for. icon_redface.gif

well, it is not what I meant by that. I mean places that not designed specifically for the GLBT community.
