Okay, as most of you know, or should know, everybody has abs, just most people have fat covering it. That's my problem.
I weigh 155 pounds and am 5'9" and I really want my abs to show. Does any body know any ways to lose all that stomach fat so that I can start working on my abs to define them. Thanks, I reallyyy need the help!!!

High Intensity Interval Training is awesome. Basically when you do cardio, alternate between ~30 secs of running/swimming/biking/whatever as fast as you can and 30 secs of walking or resting. Do 10 minutes of this with a warmup and a cooldown. This will boost your metabolism hugely and will cause you to burn calories long after your workout is done, while you sleep even.

Also limit your calories. Find out your Daily Caloric Allowance from the internet and subtract 500 to lose a pound a week, 750 for a pound and a half.

These two are what got me my abs. I didn't even do abs exercises until i was low enough bodyfat to see my work.

That apparently did work for you...I like your abs. icon_biggrin.gif
But it's bad advice in general, though. An unevenly conditioned core is really bad on your lower back. It bit me in the ass years ago.

You are what you eat.... good healthy diet, with healthy fats, protein, moderate carbs only during day, and of course Cardio and a good workout routine, try hitting your abs at least 3-4 times a week, also trying using progressive weights as you go, think about it, the ab muscle is just like any other muscle in your body, they respond to heavy workout load, but start moderate and build it up,...Good luck mate

Diet is key. Start by cutting out any junk you're eating on a regular basis - cookies, cake, ice cream, pizza, candy, etc.

Exercise, Diet, and if your game a fat burner will help.

DIET is the bigge here. Cut crap out your diet, and the crap around your abs will melt away.

I vote for diet too. A dietitian on TV said your body is 80% diet, 10% exercise and 10% genetics. That sounds like the usual 80/20 crap, but it's probably right in theory.

I second the bulimia suggestion. It's like anorexia, but with a couple delicious minutes of pie.

I love NOT having to count anything or keep track of anything, and still make progress. icon_biggrin.gif

We all know you can't spot lose weight.

1 gram of protein per body weight/goal weight.
Almonds is the best source of low volume, high protein foods. Pecans, and Walnuts are good too, but not as high in protein.

Watch fat intake, substitute Olive Oil, I fry my eggs in Olive Oil and not butter.

Work your core! You'll regret it later when you've left yourself with a weak back.

The biggest impediment to trying Cave Man diet is the cultural mindset that dietary fat causes causes body fat. Its the biggest myth of the 20th Century. Its like saying warm weather causes fevers. When America went on a low fat diet America became obese.

lap swimming helps out a lot. I got my roommate in the pool with me for the past 2 weeks now, and he has lost 6 pounds since then. it's a great way to help cut fat as well as a good diet. I swim about 2-3 miles a session and i go about 3-4 times a week. also hitting the stationary bike and running works as well. try and do some of your workouts on sprint intervals and you'll see a change in your body in no time.

Tape Worm. You can still eat your favourite foods, but something else gets the calories!
