That is a good one for sure. I still like "Escape" myself, its been around several years, but I like almost any that is a "crisp and light" kind of cologne.
My bf is different, he likes "Desire Red" and some of those that are a bit different.

So... it depends on what scents you like.

I prefer Versace Pour Homme; kind of airy, spicy like oriental woods, and very sexy.

Also love Bvlgari Black; rich, musk, leather, bitter orange, cherry. Masculine, sexy, evening kind of scent. Probably smells better if you're a little sweaty

Oh, Versace Blue Jeans, takes me back!icon_biggrin.gif
Go to perfume outlet places like Perfumania, or online like fragrance.net They sell discontinued or hard to find fragrances. Even in unlikely places like Ross and Longs drugstores!

I've been going through a fragrance identity crisis lately.
I go between smelling like soap fresh(Prada Infusion D'Homme) to 70's porn dirty(Kouros Yves Saint Laurent).

L'Eau D'Issey is a very good scent you might consider. An old cologne I like that you can find for a pretty cheap price is Tuscany. You can get it at a Dept store for about $45, but if you don't care about getting the box, you can get it online for about $32. I get a lot of compliments when I wear it and it has a pretty masculine scent. I know this because often some of the people that are giving me these compliments are lesbians that think it is OK to wear their softball team uniform out to the bar.
Of course, all these suggestions you are getting are just words you see and your nose is what really counts. Go to a department store to the cologne counter and test them. And then do my cheapskate move- tell the clerk you are just looking, run home and go to Amazon or Ebay and save yourself a few bucks. And don't get something the smells similar to your boyfriend's cologne. Be an individual and get your own stink.

So many good colognes are available now, but be sure to go lightly. More and more people (clients, co-workers, patients, etc.) are increasingly annoyed with the fragrances. It is mostly bunk that they're allergic, but just the same - go lightly.

I kept noticing a scent on certain guys that made me CRAZY, didn't even smell like cologne to me but I just knew I liked it. Finally got the nerve to ask someone I knew well enough to not feel awkward about it, and he told me what it was, which is Le Male by Gaultier. It's way more expensive than I was used to paying but I really like the way it smells (even on me) and yes, I do apply sparingly! A little goes a long way.

just use a lightly, lightly, lightly scented body wash if you want. But, as far as Colognes go, it should remain as a city in Germany.

i know it sounds high schoolerish, but I have tried a lot of cologne's and my favorite so far is American Eagle's REAL. I think it works best with my body chemistry, and I always get compliments!

That's funny. I have bottle of their stuff, IDK if it's the same one, in the console of my truck because I bought it on the road when I needed some in a pinch, and a lot of people have commented on it, as well as Hollister's Jake which I got as a giveaway. Including a girl half my age in a convenience store; that one was funny.

Allure by Chanel is really nice. It's different from your typical cologne, and I don't even wear it anymore, but it smells amazing. Not sure how it compares to the Versace though.
