I guess Gloppy didn't run yesterday! But I did.

In a thunderstorm, no less. 7.75 miles, 1hr1min38sec. got almost to my halfway point and the sprinkle started. turned around and ran into the downpour. finally had to quit and take shelter for 15-20 minutes. and best of all when i got home discovered that my running shoes were shredded!

All in all not the best day for me yesterday. But - I was out there and I ran.

    Attaboy.

Took the day off yesterday as the temps were at 102 here. I also pulled something on my Sunday run through the woods---stumbled on a root and yanked an already tight butt muscle. Hoping to get out tonight after the sun goes down.

i surprised myself, even with the weather up in the northeast. I ran about 6 miles in approx 50 mins. Its scary out there though!

Hopefully I can do 7-10 today in the gym.

Yeah, you guys in the northeast need to be careful, that heat is serious...didn't mean to cast any aspersions on my fellow runners!!!

I love running in the rain! Especially in lightning storms. In NC its warm rain, and it makes you feel more alive to trek through it. Just my preference though! Sorry about your running shoes though.

Yeah, I was not happy about the shoe situation. But my new pair should be arriving today so I can break them in on a nice short treadmill run tonight.

The worst part of running in the rain are the squelching socks.
