I've always loved armwrestling and I've been doing it ever since junior high school. It's especially fun taking on bigger guys and surprising them. Any of you guys into AW and do you have any cool stories to tell

Si alguien lo traduce muy agradecido, if someone can translate, Im very gratefull.

I liked arm wrestling with a few of the guys from school; it was just something to do if we were bored. No cool stories though...sorry.

we used to do it tons in junior high. it was a way for a small guy or real skinny guy to get respect.

this isn't a great story but i remember there was a guy named zimmerman in 7th grade who was the king of arm wrestling no one could beat him. but i figured out why he won all the time - he always started before anyone else did, but it was so subtle no one saw it.

when i wrestled him, i got out quicker than he did and won. it was one of the only few decent days in junior hell school.

if you like arm wrestling, you have to see "over the top" with sly stallone. it's the best movie ever. so cornball and goofy.

Yeah, Over The Top is a fun, if corny movie.

AW stories. . . hmmmm. . . the ones that come to mind immediately involve a friend of mine who was 30 lbs heavier and thought he was a stud LOL Anyway, he liked to show off and he challenged me to AW. . . long story short, we did it three times and he lost everytime icon_biggrin.gif The first 2 matches lasted about 2-3 minutes, the third less than a minute.

He challenged me a few times after that and always lost. Finally he gave up.

    Translation

My history is next, I like the pulse (of it), my dad used to practice it. One time I was in a competition en my city of Mayaguez and competed like a freshman, in my category and weight.

I competed again a typical muscle head, he was going to pin me when he used his strength, so that he could win, and he sensed that my arm was weak, but he got the shock of his life, I broke his arm at the beginning of the competition- they had to call 911. I felt like the superman of this and even after 4 years, I'm still called "Arm Breaker" at my old gym!

Used to arm wrestle quite often, started in middle school, me and one other guy my size were never beaten. We finally squared off one day and stayed locked for over 4 minutes till we called it a draw, and the bell to go to class went off.

I couldn't even get people to arm wrestle after that, and didn't really get picked on either, which was nice.

I was always interested in knowing to what degree technique versus strength was important. I picked up this book, "The Ultimate Guide to Pro Arm Wrestling Technique" by Brad Grounds. I haven't spent much time with it though. I think you need a buddy to go through the book's techniques together.

My plan was to practice and use the techniques on a good buddy. He lives out-of-state and we see each other maybe once a year. He works out consistently, is quite strong, and pretty confident. We are very competitive in a friendly way. I've kept quiet about the book and my plan was to practice the techniques and nail him bad.

    I love arm wrestling!!
This last spring I was working at a Renn. Fair as security sporting a sleevless shirt and got recruited for the Pirate Scavenger Hunt. And the item I was recruited for was "a strong guy". It turns out I was entered into a arm wrestling contest. There was 4 of us and there was a big guy a small guy and a lean muscular type. Well I went up against the big guy first and he got the wrist edge on me but I out lasted him muscle endurance wise for the 1-2 minutes it took to take him down. Then he went up against the lean muscular type and lost to him. I went up aganst the small guy and crushed him. Then The big guy went against the small guy and beat him. The lean muscular guy and I went at it last and that went a little back and forth but I had the hight and after what seemed forever brought him down!
It was awsome I won a contest Yeaaa!
My reward? afree beer from the ale garden.
I still have to use that thing, maybe next year!

    So far no takers.
My fav responce to me wanting to have his sandwich is "Why would I armwrestle you for it? I allready have it!"
Good point I didnt have an answer for him.

Arm wrestled this guy. Arms got all hot and sweaty. Sweaty palms clasping each other. So erotic. One thing led to another and instead of arm wrestling I finger bang him...or arm banged him since it's an arm wrestling story. Loooots of J-Lube :-P

Love arm wrestling too. Have taken on all size guys in highschool and college...won some lost some but every match was great especially the long ones where your muscle is just about ready to give out but you get the pin before they do.

Have used it as a lead in to a full on wrestling match on occasion. Im also into other strength competitions like bearhugs, nelsons and fingerlock contests...anything to test my strength against yours.
