That's pretty fascinating, and paired with the rest of the new advancements in research things are getting pretty promising.

What a great way to start my vacation, seeing advances in medicine. For so long, we kept on hearing depressing news. Thanks for posting this!

Rawrly saidThis is amazing but to be clear, it does not kill the HIV virus, it neutralizes it.
And it is going to take many years, even if it is effective, for results to be seen...

yeah and the multi billion dollar drug company will tie up these advancements because it clearly eats into their already bulging pockets. It would be nice to shift some of our money put to research on stuff that we seem to just blow up, IE space expoloration and save some lives.

The drug companies will ask for Billions of dollars for futher research (and CEO yachts), then drag testing out for decades.

Meanwhile, buy the latest new-fangled diet/antidepressent drug on TV that we will later find out can kill you!

    Hey Guys,
This is really great news. All the advances we make in treating and beating this disease is wonderful, but we have a long way to go. Please everyone, always be safe and remember anyone could have HIV. There are still a lot of guys that are not getting tested and don't want to know their status. It is not fair for the rest of you. Please be safe!

This a great news for sure. With the advancement of technology and medicine we are bound to find the cure, probably within the next decade or so. However, with this new discovery I would hope that it doesn't cloud people's judgment and give them a false sense of hope. You should still get tested and you should should still play safe at all times. This method isn't set in stone yet and will still take years to perfect before it bears fruit for us to enjoy so until them please use common sense, show responsibility and common courtesy to yourself and your fellow man.

A false sense of hope will often lead you down a path of pain and misery so don't be fools, guys. Wrap your tools and know yours and others status.
