    Pelosium:

A major research institution has just announced the discovery of the densest element yet known to science. The new element has been named Pelosium. Pelosium has one neutron, 12 assistant neutrons, 75 deputy neutrons, and 224 assistant deputy neutrons, giving it an atomic mass of 311.

These particles are held together by dark forces called morons, which are surrounded by vast quantities of lepton-like particles called peons. The symbol of Pelosium is PU.

Pelosium's mass actually increases over time, as morons randomly interact with various elements in the atmosphere and become assistant deputy neutrons within the Pelosium molecule, leading to the formation of isodopes. This characteristic of moron-promotion leads some scientists to believe that Pelosium is formed whenever morons reach a certain quantity in concentration. This hypothetical quantity is referred to as Critical Morass. When catalyzed with money, Pelosium activates CNNadnausium, an element that radiates orders of magnitude more energy, albeit as incoherent noise, since it has half as many peons but twice as many morons as Pelosium.

    ----------------------

Pelosi wasn't happy with the small USAFC-20B jet, Gulf Stream III that comes with the Speaker's job ... OH NO! Pelosi was aggravated that this little jet had to stop to refuel, so she ordered a Big Fat, 200-seat, USAF C-32, Boeing 757 jet that could get her back to California without stopping! A former Speaker of the House, Newt Gingrich, flew commercial most of the time.

Since she only works 3 days a week, this gas guzzling jet gets fueled and she flies home to California every Friday and returns every Monday, at a cost to the taxpayers of about $60,000, one way!

Unfortunately we have to pay to bring her back on Monday night and that costs us another $60,000! Taxpayers, that is $480,000 per month and that is an annual cost to us of $5,760,000!!!

All Speakers of the House have always traveled in this way, as part of their duties. You just discovered this?

And George W. traveled on Air Force One for political fundraisers more than any previous President in history, at taxpayer expense. And Air Force One costs more than any plane they put the Speaker of the House on.

Nice partisan try. Do try again... icon_razz.gif

Thanks, for a minute there I thought I was confused with the definition of an "element" namely, that it needs protons... but yeah, science is fickly,.. so anything is possible!!!

Wait...so there's really not a new discovery of a dense element?

I think, perhaps, Rico was referring to the futility of the back-and-forth Republic versus Democrat threads, as opposed to say, approaching things from a more... rational approach.

There is no point in arguing Republican or Democrat, because they are both AWFUL and are both controlled by the same financial and corporate interests. The parties have the same economic and foreign policies, and only differ in social policies.

It's like arguing if you would rather have lung cancer or throat cancer: ultimately, either way, your left with cancer.

The way I see it is that both sides have their blind faith adherents. You, RickRick, appear to be the equivalent to Democrats as Southbeach is to Republicans, which is not something wear as a badge. It simply means that as much as SB is blind to criticism of Republicans and sees things in such a narrow spectrum view, so too do you in regards to Democrats. Yes, you have different views, but you approach things the same way.

So instead of lambasting Rico for an observation, perhaps you should observe yourself more closely. Then ask who cares about the future of America. Because if caring about the future of America means tying yourself and your world view to either political party, then America is FUCKED.

What exactly is "this whole Pelosi thing" and how has it been debunked specifically. Your sources and numbers, please.

Brit as in the British there guy. As much as I like Britney I don't think she would make the country any better let alone any Democrat nor Republican candidate.

Two separate parties both with ppl higher than them pulling the stings. Hmm sounds like a conspiracy to me but I believe there is nothing gained going back and forth from one party to another every 4-8 years....

I really don't care. What can I do alone? Nothing sit and watch like the rest of masses, just like you.

I don't think you want to go there. If look at GWB, we must compare with BHO. Since he took office, record deficits, record debts, and unemployment from 8 to 10%, despite his "guarantee" of not going above 8%.

And, how much are Republican George W. Bush's wars costing us ?
Well, so far, it's $1,015,598,500,000 and increasing very rapidly.

    Please see www.costofwar.com

Gosh, it makes the cost of Nancy Pelosi's airplane sound like bus fare !

    BS.
Suggesting that there's no difference between the Repubs and the Democrats is simply NOT true.
On economic issues alone, the two parties are vastly different.
To suggest otherwise is simply false.
YOUR ideology is blinding you to the FACTS.

And for you to suggest that dropping out of politics and not giving a shit about the running of our country is LAME and USELESS and WEAK as SHIT.

Neither party is perfect, but the Republican party, as proved by the historical record of the last decade, is VASTLY worse.
The Democratic party is not perfect, but I fight to make it better.

What do you do to try to improve our country's chances of a brighter future?

Whining from the sidelines about how "America is FUCKED", helps no one in any way.

That's wrong in so many ways, but if you're too lazy to get off your ass and try to make things better, that's your choice.

And, no, "guy", I don't need you to explain to me that you meant British when you used the word "Brit".
I took your use of the word "Brit", as a reference to the British, and turned it into a subject that you're apparently much more interested in than the future of our country, the lame ass Britney Spears.
    It was wordplay.
You know what that means, don't you?

I was actually quite excited until I got to the part about the neutrons and the "morons". How funny.
Please consider changing the elemental symbol to "Pu" as that is more accurate/believable.

Do you know who wrote it?

Cuz without a cite, one has the impression you are the author.

they normally have to write "j/k" so that others know that they are being "comedical" or they wink and nod a lot (though this can be mistaken for how they pick up rent boys in public toilets)

Remember FOX's feeble attempt at trying to create their own "Daily Show?"

Yikes. "The Half Hour News Hour" is about as bad as it gets, folks. Click the video at your own peril.
