What is the most flattering thing a straight guy / guys ever told you?

This was just last night, when my gang (yep, all straights) went for a "pub crawl" ("binge drinking the classic English style"). As we were all supposed to head off to the last venue of the drinking spree, I insisted that I stay at that pub (2nd to the last one on the itinerary) as the music was really good!

All of them head out the door (hammered) then one Scottish mate went back to the pub and told me "I'd love to keep you company, but I just don't trust myself around you." I had to ask him again to make sure I heard it correctly the first time (given that I understood the accent). Then he took off.

Now, as I type this, it got me thinking if it were suppose to flatter or whaticon_confused.gif

    Probably.

Sometimes I like to flirt with girls before I leave a bar, only because I like to make people with low confidence feel better about themselves.

Im not sure though, in your case, it sounds like a curious guy.......... it could have gone somewhere one beer further

From one of my bestbuddies: That I could have any girl I want if I just got over my shyness (they don't know yet) icon_redface.gif

Of course I punched him afterwards! He's really cute though...

when you say "themselves", you meant the girls you flirt with? if that's the case then God bless your heart!

naah, he's a good friend. i don't hit on them, let alone think of 'stepping across the border'.

A guy at the gym, my first impression was nasty homophob, but we always said hello and teased each other with Kiwi and Aussie jokes _ he's from Aussie.

A few days ago, he called out across the gym "I really like your hair. Can you give me your hairdresser's name?"

Since I am way old enough to be his Dad, I was chuffed, both at the personal compliment and him feeling comfortable to say that infront of his mates.

I think he's come a far way. I'm impresed with him. Also helps that he is cute as a button.

I hear some good things - like, "What gym do you work out in?" and, "Have you been working out all you life?" or "Do you have any brothers?". Even the one that goes, "Dude, do you know you look like ...........?"

At 48, it is cool hearing all this - but I just want to be healthy and happy! I just attribute any good points I have to living/eating clean, never smoking, very light alcohol, good workouts, genes, great attitude and confidence.

I had a straight co-worker once tell me that he thought I always smelled nice, and asked me for advice on colognes because he thought his wife might like it if he smelled nice too.

My best bud (straight), told me I had the whitest teeth he'd ever seen. Does that count? Wow, that's my most flattering comment from a straight guy. icon_cry.gif

"If I'd be with a gay guy, it'd be with you...and since I don't want to be with you, I'm not gay, right?"

My response: our team is full enough, go make some girl very happy, sheesh.

    Poor girls.

I may get some flack for this, but ...

... I felt very complemented when a group of hot, twenty-something women asked if I was straight in a crowd of gay stereotypes.

Yeah thats always a good one to hear and I've been lucky enough to get that response but it was after he kept saying..... No you're not over and over. I was terrified to even say the words outloud " I'm gay" but after saying it ten times over and over almost shouting it each time he'd say "No you're not" I sorta got over any hangups of saying.. "i'm gay.. I'm gay.. I'M GAY.. I swear dude I'M FUCKING GAY" LOL In the end I finally got the love. Then a lot of very strange questions.

"I don't know why, but I have this urge to just pounce and go hogwild with you" --str8(?) friend in high school.

"If only you were a chick" --another straight friend.

    I need more gay friends.....icon_rolleyes.gif
