i've been looking at new camry's....even with zero percent 5 year financing the payments are...scary...

does toyota have good leasing rates?

or would i be better off taking advantage of the cheap financing and purchase the car?

    decisions, decisions......icon_confused.gif

I don't lease but I have a toyota camry. Can't remember the year though. It's a pretty good car. Not my first choice but I am pleased with it. At least it does what I need in a car. The ability to dart in and out of traffic.

smart people never lease cars... especially in times of tight money:

if you still think a lease is good for you, go to any of the links on the web that help you make the decision about whether leasing vs. purchasing is right for you (just google 'lease vs. purchase').

outside the lease vs. purchase issue, i think toyota makes some of the most bland (read 'ugly') cars on the planet, however, they are still reliable despite all the hoopla lately about acceleration mishaps.

J.D. Powers' most reliable car brands for 2010:
    1. Porsche
    2. Lincoln (i.e. Ford)
    3. (tie) Lexus (i.e Toyota)
    3. (tie) Buick (yes, Buick.... i.e. GM)
    4. Toyota
    5. Mercury (a defunct brand now.... made by Ford)

I would never lease a car. Go buy a "gently used" car. There are a million out there. It's a way better deal. You get no equity with a lease.

If you can afford to, I'd say go ahead and buy the car instead of leasing it. If you can't afford payments of a purchase, then the Alternative would be to lease the car. And that apr percentage they gave you is pretty awesome. Mine was 2.9% apr. I own a 09 silver le. Hope this helps

My opinion is that leasing a car is like renting a home. You pay forever, but you never own it. I've never leased a car.

I have a 1991 Honda Accord that looks great, runs great, and has needed very few repairs.
    What a good investment !

I own my home which is worth more than 4 times what I paid for it.
    What a great investment !

BTW, with the mechanical problems Toyotas have been having, the past few years, I wouldn't touch one with a ten foot pole.
