    Wise words indeed.
The rampant desire of too many in the Republican party to hope for the president - and America - to fail, is a black mark on the long history of the Republican party.
As Bennett points out, today partisanship trumps patriotism with too many Republicans.
The Republican party's slogan "Country First" has been defiled time and time again over the past year, as the Republican party and the Republicans who call themselves "teabaggers" have put party first.

As Bennett points out, the long term implications of the stategy of hoping for America to fail aren't being considered by the Republicans.

He also points out that Republicans have no plan to govern if they win seats in Nov.

The Republican party has yet to begin the process of remaking itself into a credible and responsible political party.
And the day they do seems very far off at the moment.

If the leadership of the GOP continues to allow the narrow-minded, bible thumping screwballs along with both their neocon and teabagger allies to take over the republican party, there might not be much of a future for the GOP because it will become too extreme and too fascist.
