The good people of Louisiana may have forgiven the self-described "family values" Republican Vitter for getting caught banging prostitutes - and even for having a diaper fetish (YUCK)!

But, will they forgive him for pushing a tired and debunked conspiracy theory in an effort to get his lame ass reelected?

are you really this dumb? We don´t go around on a "family values" campaign trying to outlaw other people´s sexuality or consensual sexual behaviour. Why do you people make such a big deal out of sex? Rabbits don´t... and you and me baby ain´t nothing but mammels so let´s do it like they do on the discovery channel...

Do you really want a response topic to each incendiary topic that RickRick posts?

Things like, "Brothel-Running Barney Frank Ruined the Banking System?"

well, show us proof that Frank is running brothels! Others wise you have proven yourself to be the idiot here.

Another hypocrite, we have them on both sides of the aisle...... the republicans seem to corner the market because of the "family values" argument.
    It's all about perception.

As you have said to others who have complained about the endless stream of "attack" threads you have posted......don't read it; don't respond; move on.

So you need to take your own advice.

However, I'll agree that this whole run of nasty Forum threads, most of them, of course, authored by you, could go away.

But what is good for the goose, is good for the gander.

sxydrkhair saidOh that dirty Republican Vitter had sex with a prostitue. Never heard of "hook-up" sex in gay community? That is even grosser.

The political implications are the issue here. Vitter is a vocal supporter of "family values" and against gay rights. Contrary to his own stated value system on which he has campaigned for public office, and breaking his marriage vows, he was busy f**king prostitutes while criticizing others and supporting legislation about these very family values issues. Do you detect a fundamental dishonesty here?

Now when a guy in the gay community is legally married and cheats on his husband I criticize that, too. In fact, they don't have to be married, as few can be, if they've made a pledge of monogamy to each other. Cheating is sleazy behavior no matter what the orientation, and if you've promised to be faithful then that's what you better be.

On the other hand, hook-ups are no problem for me, whether by gays or straights, if the persons have not agreed to be monogamous. Why call them "gross"? I am consistent in my own value system, even if some like Vitter are not.

Agreed. Don't scream from the highest mountains about the evils of homosexuality or extra-marital affairs, only to be caught in bed with a mistress or a house boy! We will call you out. icon_biggrin.gif That being said, I realize that no person on the face of this earth is perfect and personally, I would never expect them to be regardless of which side of the aisle pays their bills. I fully realize that both sides have their fair share of seedy characters. The problem is that the right more often than not come out contradicting their own foolish asses. Don't pretend to be the high and mighty party who want's to restore moral order, only to be found out as low down and sordid. Oddly enough, some of us don't respond well to that.

Uhm, Slickbeach, at least post something that proves your point.

Fact: the Ethics Committee had determined that Frank was unaware of Gobie's alleged prostitution service being run from his Capitol Hill apartment. In fact, they could find no proof that Gobie was running a prostitution ring out of Frank's apartment at all.

It is entirely possible that Gobie accepted calls from 'clients' while staying in Frank's apt., but there was no evidence that he was running a prostitution ring, or that he had any johns in the apt. at any time.

Gobie was dumped by B. Frank. Gobie was pissed. Gobie told lies in an attempt to ruin B. Frank. Gobie's plans backfired.

Slickbeach posts old story of Gobie and Frank in an attempt to trash Frank's image. Slickbeach's plan backfired.

Notice how it doesn’t say Frank ran prostitutes out of his house. Admittedly, he probably has more than a few skeletons in the closet, but you have to see the difference between that and when people pass laws based on their “family values” only to be found out as one of the sleaziest of sleaze.

Both parties get on my last nerve. Unfortunately, I consider myself mostly a Democrat, because it is the lesser of two evils. They may lie straight to your face, but they don’t tell me that my sex life is depraved and should be illegal. Honestly, when the Republican lose their backward social ideas, I’d probably consider voting Republican once in a while. Until then, keep calling out the hypocrites among them (and us). Maybe one day they actually will work for the will of the people.

And you're a fool if you think for a minute that Barney Frank had anyone from the House ethics committee in his back pocket.

I remember this case well. It unfolded while I was a registered Republican, and I wanted nothing more than to see Frank go down for this. However, as hard as the committee tried to take Frank down, they couldn't.

So, yeah, I believe it because I prefer to deal with the truth, not your spin.

Are you not the one who just said a few posts back that, "Unlike some on here, I don't make these things up."

Unfortunately, you are making things up....because you are going off of your assumptions, rather than the actual findings.
