I guess it would be Psycho, but I really liked North by Northwest also! The scene in the elevator with Cary Grant's mother and the guys trying to kill him was priceless!! icon_biggrin.gif

I think VERTIGO as well...the story was very engaging...but they all are...hmmm...

DIAL M FOR MURDER was good too, usual Hitchcock cheesiness lol...Oh and I really like THE ROPE as well.

I enjoyed Rear Window with James Stewart and the classy elegance of Grace Kelly. I also liked The Man Who Knew Too Much..also with James Stewart and Doris Day ( who could forget the opening line for Que Sera..Sera -- 'When I just a little girl..er um boy...I asked my mother what shall I be....')

PSYCHO and ROPE (Hitch filmed the entire movie in continuous 10 minute sequences and it's interesting to watch the set of a cityskyline background darken as time goes by--And TONS of homo- innuendo throughout)

Rope was my first Hitchcock film ever, I think I was about 9 years old. Loved it ever since. But I haven't seen it in probably close to 10 years.

I like many of his movies.

My favourites ones are North by Northwest and Rear Window.

Though, I must admit that I haven't seen yet some of his famous movies such as Strangers on a Train, Rope, and The Birds.

    Very interesting topic, anyway!

I watch Alfred Hitchcock ALL the time...my boyfriend even has a framed old school poster for Rear Window hanging in the house.

If i had to pick my all time favorite Hitchcock, The Birds.

But I love Rear Window, Psycho and Rope (oh the homoerotic storylines i play in my head while watching Rope)....

Vertigo! The ne plus ultra of his obsessions and fascinations. Plus it's just a woozy, dizzying crackerjack movie.

    2nd fave is Rear Window.

Rear Window is my favorite. North By Northwest second and Psycho third. I love all his movies, though.

ROPE. Haven't seen it in like 15 yrs but still vividly remember certain scenes.

Rope is also based on a real-life murder, and yes the two guys were sexually involved with each other.
