OK Guys so I'm embarrassed to say it...but I haven't shaved my balls in months.

I know some guys don't but I, personally LOVE the feeling of them shaved. I don't have my legs or any other parts of my body except there. I trim the rest as needed. In the last year I started getting super sensitive to shaving them. Razors just irritate the boys too much and cause break outs. Especially with all the outdoor activities I do and sweating at the gym.

So I stopped. Any alternatives that you can think of?

I trim mine with clippers, just like the rest of my body. It's a lot less painful when you're sweaty.

PS. Also, using conditioner on the trimmed hair keeps it soft instead of prickly.

If you aren't using sharp new blades I'm not surprised with your results.

Of course I am. Duh. This is the result 1-2 days after. Worse when working out.

I second that. Although I have a http://www.amazon.com/Remington-Titanium-Microflex-Factory-Refurbished/dp/B003HMMER0 which has a flip out trimmer on the back that works pretty good instead of a full blown razor set like I use for everything else. I can't touch my balls with a razor blade because the skin is just too sensitive so this is a good alternative for me.

Put the trimmers on the highest setting. The lowest setting always knicks.

    Electrolysis.

Once the hairs are gone, they are gone for good. No more hassle with shaving, bumps, ingrown hairs, nicks, etc. Ever.

Painful? Not so much. Actually the balls are the least sensitive area in the entire pubic region - for me, at least. Midline is the most sensitive but a good local anesthetic cream will reduce the discomfort.

Nah I dont have the patience or pain tolerance for that. Plus someone standing around my junk zapping it for a while LOL...could be fun but not in a medical environment icon_wink.gif

I'm wondering if you are applying anything (such as shaving cream) before you shave, that might be what's causing the irritation. Or, are you applying anything after shaving ?

I shave mine, using nothing (but the razor) before and after shaving, with no problems.

OK so I need to give the clippers another chance, on high speed. And try reg razor again but with conditioner. Sigh...ok. icon_neutral.gif

Nothing at all? I did try the conditioner way as they suggested. Thats the only way I ever did it. Are you even using water?

TheGuyNextDoor saidI've never had any problem with just a razor and hair conditioner... Stretch the skin smooth, be careful and you're good to go for days..
Also.. if you know you want it gone for ever.. consider Laser Hair removal.
It's fast and easy,, a different animal than electrolysis. Probably clean up your boys in about 5-10 mins. max and it's over for good. I've done laser on stray areas like shoulders and Triceps and always had great results.
There's nothing wrong with tidying up your playpin....icon_eek.gif
Yeah but didnt it hurt like hell?

Careful there, I think he meant having the guard on the highest setting, not the speed. Make sure your clippers have a guard, don't try it with the teeth directly on your skin, or some shredding will occur. Ouch.

I used to shave, but I found that it was annoying as hell, and had to be done about every 4 days to keep the prickly feeling from coming back, finally I kinda gave up, and would trim, but it never looked as good, so for my 21st b-day instead of getting smashed with my friends, me and one other close friend of mine, went and got Brazilian bikini waxes, that was over 3 years ago, and I have been doing it ever sense....it hurts the first few times you do it, but if you keep it up, the pain gets to a point where its really doesn't bother me. I would recommend you try it. That is what I do, but most of my friends think I am crazy for doing it...Obviously it cant be unbearable because I have been doing it for over 3 years, give it a try, you might like it a lot better.

    on a different direction:

after years and years of shaving the boyz smooth 2 or 3 times a week, my bf and I deceided to "go natural" for a couple of months. it had been so long neither one of could recall what natural downstairs was like!

i have to admit, hair looks so much more masculine and erotic to both of us than shaved sac and trimmed pubes do!

it's been about 3 weeks now; we'll see how it "develops" as times goes on.

REALLY???? Doesnt that shit burn on your sack? Or is there a special one for just that area?

He's pulling your leg. Or, in this case, your nutsack.

How are you shaving them? I shave mine in the shower so they're nice and wet and I use liquid soap as shaving cream. And how often are you shaving them? Some shave every day, but I do mine every couple of days. Unless I know I have a date, etc., then I want to make sure I have no stubble.

I used to do it once every 2 weeks. And in the last year by day 2 it would be rashed up and itchy. Especially after the gym. I would use conditioner only.

After a shave I put on moisturizer a few times a day. Work it into your masturbation routine. icon_smile.gif

I wonder if the fact you're not doing it often enough could be the issue. As for shaving "creme," by conditioner do you mean hair conditioner? Never heard of that one before. I can't imagine it would make your skin sensitive, but you might want to try a few different "cremes" to see if you have a different reaction. I found I was sensitive, and even more susceptible to ingrown hair, if I used real shaving creme. Go figure. As I said, I've had great results with liquid soap. Also, try to use only one or two strokes over the same patch of skin. More could lead to skin irritation. And same for applying too much pressure. You should be using a very light stroke.

Of course nothing beats having a buddy or two over for some tea and asking their opinion on techniques. Field testing is also a good idea.
