It's evolution really, which is what we have to accept.

Evolution didn't have us sitting this long, it had us out providing and strategizing with various resources our next plots in the days coming. We were meant to survive, not have bursts of energy and then remain lethargic the rest of the day... the only thing being exercised is our faculty of guilt suppression.

Just as a side note: Isn't it scary the number of people who literally sit all day long. They get out of bed, sit in the car for hour long commutes to work, sit at a desk for 8 hours, then drive home and sit in their recliner to watch TV until they fall asleep. Makes me sick just thinking about it. On top of that, they wonder why they are obese and have chronic joint and muscle pain.

Try my life on for size, wake up, 8am, walk to bus, have to stand on bus almost always, stand and walk at job 1 all day, walk to second jb, stand and walk all day and workout with clients, workout after both jobs, walk to bus, sit on bus for 15 mins, walk home, sleep.... F.M.L.

and thats the days i only have 2 jobs of the 3...

Interesting point... although having a desk job does not make obesity a foregone conclusion. Some days I am chained to my desk in front of a computer... there's not much I can do about it. I try to get up and walk around and usually do a good job of it. But I've had those days. Just a few days ago I was at my desk allllll day with hardly a change to move. I was so wrapped up in my work that by the time I got up to get ready to leave for the day I had this crazy deep pain in my hip that didn't go away all night. It's sad, but what am I gonna do??? try to be active when I'm not chained to my desk, that's it.

That is an interesting article. I have a physical job and do a lot of lounging about when I get home. I also have hypertension but that is due to the stress of people I have to interact with at work. If I sit in front of the computer for long periods of time I do get the feeling like I'm handicapped.

I'm glad both of my jobs require me to be on my feet the whole time!

I'm on my feet 85% of the time my days at work. I'm ready to come home relax afterwards, especially after a 50lbs break change. icon_biggrin.gif

Hopefully this study will carry over into the job world. Constantly sitting for hours at a time is one of the things I hate about my job...difficult to get up and move around on a four-hour flight in a single-seat airplane.

LOL. Well, I also posted it for myself. I have to wonder if sitting too much has been a cause of some the physical problems I've had the last few years. I'm certainly going to sit less in future.

I hope you watched a good movie. icon_wink.gif
