Do You Like/Dislike the "Guy Above You" threads ?
    Why ?

    I find them very annoying.

Many of them are bound to hurt another member's feelings.
And, in 90% of them, there's no way you could respond to them just from looking at the guy's picture, unless you were just taking a wild guess.

Most of them are harmless, particularly the ones started by Silverfox. The others, mostly of a sexual nature are trifling in my opinion, but like all things, it just depends on what you like. No accounting for taste I guess....hehe....

why anyone would respond knowing that they're going to get dissed is beyond me. To me, it's more of giving affirmation to the people who don't really need it, and slamming the people who do. Haven't responded to one, and won't. Besides, I don't want to see someone tell me I'm not f***able. . . cause I am!

The funny ones are harmless I suppose, but really most are a waste of scrolling space in the forum lists.

Yes, they are childish, including Silverfox's icon_lol.gif.

I feel like I've already put myself out there by having a RJ profile...if someone likes me, they'll message me. I've always been turned off by attention-seekers

I think they are a fun diversion. I psrticipate sometimes when I'm online andnjust trying to unwind and relax.I don't like it when guys say unnecessarily mean things though.

Not a fan. The first few were kinda cute. Sometimes, it's like a slaughterhouse here, from all the beating of dead horses.

After the first one it got tired. I do like the 'what do you think of the guy below you' threads though. I also remember one about insulting the guy above you. That was kind of fun also. So I guess some of them are okay but most are just a waste.

See, I'd NEVER get that kind of response in one of THOSE threads. I feel validated.

wow, finally someone is talking about this. I thought I was the only one that hated those threads. It wouldn't bother me if there weren't so freaking many. It was cute and original when it first started like years ago, but now....icon_evil.gif

I rarely drop my name in there, because dropping it in there has the same effect. THREADKILL!

The thread could be going all day, but if I add myself in the "what's the best feature of the guy above you"...THREADKILL! It's not like I'm Quasimodo, or anything.

So, I learned to stay away from "would you make out with the guy above you?"
Or even..."Say something nice about the guy above you." I got THREADKILL! on that too. I'm beginning to get a complex. icon_lol.gif

If you've seen the movie Soapdish, you'll get the reference. I see them very much like Sally Field's trip to the mall with Whoopi Goldberg. It's an ego boost when we feel like we can use one (I don't remember the character names). So they serve their purpose.
