So I just saw Christopher Nolan's new movie Inception and I just gotta say... holy shit! It was amazing. It is definitely in my top 10 favourites, and I'm planning on going to see it again later this week. I highly recommend seeing it. I haven't seen a film like, it reminded me a bit of the Matrix except x10 better. So for the guys that have seen it, what did you think?

Was also kinda hard to take my eyes off of Tom Hardy when he came on screen...

So far it's the best movie I've seen in '10. I prefer looking at DiCaprio. He's looking a little older now, HOT!

Interesting fact, lately, DiCaprio only does 2 movies a year and he also skips 1 year in between. So he came out with "Shutter Island" and now "Inception", you won't see him until 2012 probably.

Anyway, I thought the movie was going to be confusing, but wasn't.

I was interested in this film once I found out it was by Christopher Nolan (big fan of Memento, less so the Batman movies). But then I read a review that had me second guess.

The Philadelphia Inquirer did not like it so much. Confusing to a fault. Can't look away or you'll miss something. I don't know if my attention span will like this one.

i think toy story 3 was better on top of a lot of great foreign films. i think nolan's films are always well-intentioned, but are fatally-flawed. he's like the m night of psychological action thrillers, which is not a good thing.

I was enthralled. The movie was quite different and engaging. However, I can see the point of those who found it confusing or hard to follow at times. I still have a lot of questions left myself, and think that perhaps I just have to go see it again. But hey, is that so bad? Besides, I figure it may have something to do with watching it in a theatre full of "well-inttentioned" individuals.

In all, probably the best movie of 2k10... Well, Repo Men was pretty damn hot too, so that's a big probably...

It's an excellent movie. The music - Hanz Zimmer - is outstanding, too!

I totally agree. I downloaded the soundtrack. Some of it helps to focus when I'm doing office work at home and some of it wakes me up when I'm doing office work at home!

Loved the movie. It will for sure be a Blu Ray purchase.

UMMM how did they enter someone else's dream without anything connected to their BRAINS!!?? Didn't anyone else find this absolutly ridiculous to leave out such a simple concept. I mean all they did was hook up tubes to their veins to administer a sedative. ARGGGG i hate hollywood URGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG

I agree with some who found it hard to follow -- it is at times -- but WOW! What a movie!!! No doubt it will be remembered come Oscar time, if for no reason its sheer brilliance in movie making and originality.

Amazing movie! Best movie I've seen this year.
Inception is in a league of it's own. It's clever, intense and refreshingly deep. The ending was well done too. LOL I'll never look at dreams they same again. My mate thought it was a bit drawn out, but he's not into complexed sci fi movies.

Would some of you consider it to be a masterpiece that some reviews claim it to be?

i liked it, but it's really just "matrix" all over again without the human-monching computers. it was too long.

it is the best "is this reality?" movie since the first "matrix." but people are acting like it's something new, and the issues it deals with are as old as western philosophy. the notion that our senses distract and/or blind us to reality (rather than reveal it) is 3,000 years old. the greek philosophers were dealing with this hundreds of years before christ.

    re: plato's cave of shadows.

i did like how they played with time and the way moments can happen within moments within moments.

it pissed me off that we didn't see dicaprio bump up through all the levels, so the top spinning on the table at the end leaves room for a sequel, and dat's jess ignant.

I really enjoyed it, but I thought there was too much exposition and too many conversations between Cobb and Ariadne about Mal. I don't think Cobb every woke up.

By far the best movie of the year and close to the best in the past two years. I was amazed by the storytelling and the acting was spot on!

Yeah I agree, their interaction and conversations became monotonous.
I have to say there were some similarities bettween the main character of Inception and Shutter Island. They both struggle with reality and are tormented by dark memories from their past, longing to find peace within themselves.

Even though it is the reason I had to wait till 2012 for the next Batman, I really enjoyed it

I was on the edge of my seat for most of it, plus that zero-G fight was just bad ass

Christopher Nolan really outdid himself, creating a complex film that was more thrilling and intense than most of the CGI-based films that seem to dominate the theaters these days. It was nice to be mentally challenged by the plot-line, which felt like a follow-through of an extremely complicated maze (the last time I felt challenged like this was from watching this other great sci-fi movie called Primer).

I thought the film was intelligently made and I love all the psychological theories in the film. I love how Nolan always make things happen for a reason in his movies. I love Ellen Paige but I could not keep my eyes off Tom Hardy either.

During the whole movie I kept thinking, "This is crazy good!" I love movies that make you think throughout; really, shouldn't all movies and books make us think? Now to find a date in order to see it again...

To me, best movie of the year so far, and most inventive movie I've seen in a long time. Definitely keeps you on the edge of your seat! I loved how the end leaves the entire movie up for interpretation......did it fall?! Saw it twice this weekend - I recommend it!

Plus, Tom Hardy = SMOKIN HOT
