I think gays have a long way to go before they're sexually predatorial ways even come close to matching that of straight guys.

My first thought was that Sermon has been knocked in the head a few too many times as when one says 'sexual predator' it usually means someone going after the unwilling are those younger than the age of consent and that is not what we are.

But then as I thought it about, I realized that this is me making an assumption. Without a source to where this quote came from, we are not able to see its context. Is he criticizing the behavior of homosexuals or is he saying that many unfairly view homosexuals as predators?

Simon started a gay welcoming pro wrestling organization...

He is saying that many view homosexuals as predators. When the general public sees us doing the same things they do every day, it helps to off set that stereotype. And it also, to me, suggests that we should do more to help nix the stereotype we have.

I don't think it represents the whole population, but I absolutely agree because that is the exact vision the general public has about homosexuals. It is the truth no matter how much you deny it.

We can march in the streets wearing suits and ties and those that don;t like us won;t say, "Oh look, they are upright now." They'll say, "Look at those freaks trying to fake normalcy."

IMO I think that alot of people make a big deal out of being gay and the public reacts negatively because they view us as outsiders and on the fringe... namely because there are several individuals out there that do want us to be outside and separate from heterosexuals.

As Hillie said, every group has a negative identity they must overcome...including ours. ...of course, we still don't have the same freedoms as heterosexuals, so we're still fighting the good fight.... and that makes us unpopular. Any group that comes in and wants to change the status quo is always unpopular.

....so, I'm not so certain it's so much as we're viewed as sexual predators per se, but more along the lines of people want to find reasons to not like us for trying to change the stats quo. ...and if those people can find a justifiable reason, then they don't have to question why they don't like that particular group.
