    haha, go cleveland...

Anyway, I buy bottled water all the time... 3 dollars and I get 24 bottles... I get bottled water for the simple fact I like to drink water as I go throughout my day so I need it to be portable. I always recycle the bottles though.

The issue of all the plastic water bottles is not the only issue:
-The EPA only regulates the quality of public water supplies, so they have no authority over bottled water. Bottled water may be able to come under scrutiny from the FDA if it crosses state lines, but there are not stringent standard for the sanitation of bottled water.
-Bottling facilities rob local aquaphors of water, pumping some 200,000-500,000 gallons a day. Even though the water is pumped from deep underground this damages farm land, sucking out the water lowering water levels etc.

Sooo you should think about using some sort of reusable container and fill up on tap water.

    This was well done.

Just buy a stainless steel container and reuse it over and over. Reusing a plastic container has problems because the plastic can break down and molecules enter your body.

This is why I've got my Sigg bottle. I don't have to pay two dollars every time I'm thirsty, I don't have piles of bottles to deal with and, stainless steel bottles can really help motivate people to listen.

    Plus they just look amazing.

I got this cup and I can't stop raving about it. It's leak-proof and keeps temperature for hours. Nice looking, too.

i've noticed that some of the lower end stainless steel thermoses give off a metallic with coffee/tea/milk so i bought a glass thermos from Teavana, its works pretty well and stays warm/cold for a long time and i get alot of compliments on it

Here's a site to find local water from springs and aquifers (many are free you just have to bring your own jugs or pay parking fees as they are sometimes on national park grounds): http://www.findaspring.com/

Fresh local water is so much better than bottled water, god knows how long it's been sitting in plastic containers that leech? If you do buy bottled water I'd go for something in glass, like most italian/german imported water seems to be.

I only drink bottled water cuz regardless of what they say, tap water tastes horrible, it has a metallic flavor, I love Fiji Water & SmartWater, and the bottles are really cool, and sometimes when you buy SmartWater you're helping people and poor children and Jennifer Aniston gave money too.

Well, I agree with you (at home, we have an electric pump and use "well water" from the local underground lake)... so, what I do is I have a Pur water pitcher, I just put it in the fridge and fill up my Sigg bottle when I leave for the day... voila, good water without wasting plastic.

tap water is great in cities that have good tap water, Portland Oregon etc, but there r cities that it tastes like marshwater, ie. San Diego. Brita filters don't even get rid of the smell, so are there any filtration systems that are a good buy for the water out here.

At work everyone gets the refillable spring water office tubs, that's not a bad trade off I think.
